Novak Djokovic has dropped to four in the rankings.
The updated rankings of the ATP tour has seen Novak Djokovic drop out from the top three. He has spent a record 756 weeks amongst the top three rankings throughout his career and is now ranked No #4. Roger Federer comes in next with 750 weeks in the top three and Rafael Nadal is third with 686 weeks.
The previous instance of Djokovic being outside the top three rankings was prior to his victory in Australian Open 2023. This time, he was ranked No #2 during US Open 2024 but his early exit caused him to slip two places. He lost to Australian Alexei Popyrin in the third round at New York in four sets. Djokovic with 5,560 points is now behind Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
The Serbian dropped 1900 points in US Open 2024 as his title defence was halted early. He is 85 ranking points ahead of fifth ranked Daniil Medvedev. There are still events left on the ATP tour and Djokovic will be looking to capitalize his chances. He is yet to win a title this season but finally won the Olympic gold in Paris.
