The tennis legend extends reign at top despite rising stars.
Novak Djokovic, the 24-time Grand Slam champion continues to create a record. He’s poised to achieve another milestone, beginning his 419th week as World No. 1. Djokovic, now 34, is set to surpass Roger Federer as the oldest player to hold the top ranking in ATP history this Sunday, at 36 years and 321 days.
Since turning 30 in 2017, Djokovic has secured 31 tour-level titles, including 12 Grand Slam wins, ten ATP Masters 1000 victories, and two ATP Finals crowns.
Novak Djokovic, a Serbian tennis icon, continues to dominate the sport despite his age approaching 40. His tireless dedication, unwavering professionalism, and emphasis on his physical and mental health have fueled his longevity. Djokovic’s comprehensive approach encompasses yoga, meditation, and a nutritious diet. Although younger players have emerged, his unwavering excellence enables him to rise to new heights and remain a fierce competitor among the rising stars of the ATP Tour.
Djokovic, who first achieved the World No. 1 ranking on July 4, 2011, did so at the age of 24. In contrast Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal reached the top spot for the first time when they were 22 years old.
