ATP Barcelona Open 2025: Updated schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

Casper Ruud is the defending champion.
The Barcelona Open 2025 is a men’s tennis tournament to be played on outdoor clay courts at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain, from April 14 to 20. It will be the 72nd edition of the event and part of the ATP Tour 500 series of the 2025 ATP Tour. The singles main draw was reduced in size from 48 to 32 players this year.
Monte Carlo 2025 winner Carlos Alcaraz will be high in confidence and starts favourite in home conditions. After displacing Alexander Zverev, the Spaniard is back at the second spot in the ATP rankings and will look to reduce the gap between Sinner and himself.
Reigning champion Casper Ruud will have to defend 500 points, to prevent a top-10 exit. Following his early loss in Monte Carlo, the Norwegian must regain form and produce his best tennis quickly, if we were to defend his title.
Another player who went down in Monte Carlo, Stefanos Tsitsipas, will seek redemption at a venue where he has finished as a runner-up thrice. Having won the Dubai Open earlier this year, the Greek needs to find consistency. Lorenzo Musetti’s participation remains uncertain, as he struggled to complete the final against Alcaraz.

Two-time winner Carlos Alcaraz is set to kick off his 2025 Barcelona Open campaign against a qualifier, followed by a potential second-round clash between the winner of Frances Tiafoe and Tomas Machac. A quarter-final showdown with Alex de Minaur could be on the cards, while the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas or Arthur Fils loom as possible semi-final opponents.
In the bottom half of the draw, Casper Ruud may face Holger Rune in a thrilling quarter-final encounter. The winner of that clash could then meet either Lorenzo Musetti or Andrey Rublev in a high-stakes semi-final. With a host of familiar names in the mix, Barcelona promises another week of world-class clay-court tennis.
