Carlos Alcaraz finished the 2025 season as the ATP year-end no.1.

Carlos Alcaraz continues to redefine dominance in modern tennis, and his 2025 season has been the strongest testament yet.

The Spanish sensation won eight ATP titles this year, more than any other male or female player, earning himself another place in an exclusive club of elite champions that includes the legendary Big Three.

Although he fell short in the ATP Finals against his rival Jannik Sinner, Alcaraz still secured the ATP year-end No. 1 ranking.

His season featured two Grand Slam wins at Roland Garros and the US Open, three Masters 1000 titles in Monte Carlo, Rome, and Cincinnati, and three ATP 500 victories in Rotterdam, Queen’s Club, and Tokyo.

His eight-title campaign makes the 22-year-old only the sixth man this century to reach or surpass that mark. He also becomes only third in the last decade, after Andy Murray’s nine titles in 2016 and Jannik Sinner’s eight in 2024.

The Swiss legend Roger Federer stands above the rest in this category, having completed the remarkable feat four times. He collected 11 titles in both 2004 and 2005, added a record breaking 12 titles in 2006, and secured another eight in 2007.

Rafael Nadal stands second winning 11 titles in 2005, eight in 2008, and 10 in 2013. Novak Djokovic joined the elite with 10 titles in 2011 and 11 in 2015.

Murray follows them with his stunning 2016 season, while Sinner and Alcaraz now share the achievement of winning eight titles once each, in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

Luciano Darderi also enjoyed a breakthrough year with titles in Marrakech, Bastad, and Umag. Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Flavio Cobolli, Denis Shapovalov, and Joao Fonseca each secured two titles.
