Was Emma Raducanu present at Carlos Alcaraz's fourth-round match at Wimbledon 2025?

Emma Raducanu-Carlos Alcaraz duo has been grabbing the headlines since they announced news of pairing up for mixed doubles at US Open.

Carlos Alcaraz registered his most convincing victory at Wimbledon 2025 in his fourth-round clash against 14th seed Andrey Rublev. The Spaniard has been well below his usual game at the Championship, winning the first round in five sets against Fabio Fognini, a player who is set to retire at the end of the season.

Too many forehand errors and serving issues had led fans to doubt Alcaraz’s chances of a Wimbledon three-peat, especially after he trailed 1-4 against Rublev in the opening set. Though the Russian edged the set in a tight tiebreak, it was the last time he held control.

Alcaraz dramatically raised his level, breaking Rublev three times and confidently holding serve to seal a four-set victory, marking his best outing in this edition of SW19.

The player who has caught everyone’s attention, however, was Emma Raducanu in the stands. The 22-year-old Brit, who lost her third-round women’s singles clash in straight sets against World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, was spotted watching Alcaraz’s match a day later.

Both Raducanu and Alcaraz have previously spoken highly of each other, and tennis fans have “shipped” them for their amicable nature and friendly vibes. Both, former US Open champions, are set to play together in mixed doubles at this year’s US Open.

“We’re just good friends,” said the Brit, when asked about her relationship with the Spaniard. The duo has known each other since 2021, which also happens to be the year Raducanu rose up the ranks and announced herself to the world, at the US Open.

“I’ve known him for years and actually in Wimbledon 2021 it was like kind of the first time I started getting to know him, and I had a good run there and then also again in the US Open in 2021.”

While Raducanu has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors about dating Alcaraz, her frequent appearances at his matches and her shy demeanour whenever she’s asked about him in press conferences have only fueled speculation.

Each time she speaks about him, her expressions and body language hint at a special bond, raising eyebrows among fans.

Tennis followers are thoroughly enjoying watching this potential romance unfold, embracing the idea of one of the most prolific blossoming tennis couple that brings extra charm and excitement to the sport. Wimbledon 2025 round of 16, now marks the second time the Brit No. 1 has made a public appearance at an Alcaraz match, having attended his Queen’s Club round of 16 encounter too.

Fans are eager to see Britain’s No. 1 supporting Alcaraz in his upcoming matches, as her presence in the stands seems to inspire him to reach even greater heights. Raducanu’s surprise visits have only fueled the narrative pushed by media and tennis enthusiasts, who are keen to stir up speculation and promote the idea of a rumoured Alcaraz-Raducanu romance.

Previously, Nick Kyrgios remarked on a podcast that Alcaraz’s habit of spending time around girls could eventually cost him titles. While the defending champion has looked unstoppable on court so far, he faces some formidable opponents in the final stretch of this marquee event. To stay on track for a successful title defense, he must avoid any distractions at these decisive moments.

Raducanu, earlier bowed out of the Championship, but not before taking down former champion Markéta Vondroušová in the previous round, and stretching the top seed, who admitted that she expects to see Raducanu to re-enter the top-10 WTA rankings.

For a place in the semi-finals, Carlos, a five-time Grand Slam champion, will have to overcome Britain’s Cameron Norrie — a fascinating match-up where the home crowd will undoubtedly rally behind their man.

This sets the stage for another potential Raducanu appearance, adding intrigue, especially since Norrie himself has previously faced dating rumors involving the US Open champion.
