Carlos Alcaraz lights up NBA night with courtside appearance at Miami Heat game

Carlos Alcaraz turned up as a spectator to watch the Miami Heat take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, November 26. The World No. 1 from Spain, who watched Heat defeat the Bucks, saw the Miami-based Heat take on the Golden State Warriors in March last year.
Alcaraz was handed a personalised jersey, bearing his name and the 99 embossed on it.
The 22-year-old Spaniard will join Frances Tiafoe, Amanda Anisimova, and Jessica Pegula for an exhibition match at the Prudential Center on December 7. Apart from the singles events, the four participants will square off in a mixed doubles exhibition as well.
Alcaraz will take on Tiafoe, while Anisimova will cross paths with compatriot Pegula in the scheduled singles matches.
The action will move to Miami’s LoanDepot Park for a second exhibition on December 8. Alcaraz will be joined by Brazilian teenager Joao Fonseca, Amanda Anisimova, and Jessica Pegula at the 2025 Miami Tennis Invitational.
The evening in Miami will also feature a mixed doubles event, with Pegula and Alcaraz taking on Anisimova and Fonseca. Alcaraz, a six-time Grand Slam champion, will take on fast-rising Brazilian Fonseca for the first time.

Fonseca, nominated for ATP Breakthrough of the Year, won two titles on the tour this year at Buenos Aires and Basel. The win at the ATP 250 event in Buenos Aires was his maiden tour-level title. Fonseca, 19, followed it up by claiming the ATP 500 Basel Open for the biggest win of his career.
Alcaraz has enjoyed a breakthrough season, bettering his record of six titles in the 2023 season. The World No. 1 has filled his trophy cabinet with eight more trophies in 2025, including two Grand Slams (Roland Garros, US Open) and three ATP 1000s (Monte-Carlo, Rome, Cincinnati).
The Spaniard capped his year by making his debut in the ATP Finals and finishing the season as ATP Year-End No. 1 for the second time.
