Carlos Alcaraz has joined the likes of Roger Federer after historic Wimbledon 2024 victory.

Carlos Alcaraz has reached yet another milestone during his record-breaking Wimbledon 2024 campaign. With his win over Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final, he became the second man after Roger Federer to win the first four Grand Slam finals he has played in.

Alcaraz will now aim to emulate Federer’s record of winning his first seven Grand Slam finals. The young Spaniard only took two hours and 27 minutes in the Wimbledon 2024 final against Djokovic, his biggest rival on the tour.

He has proved himself to be a winner on all surfaces. Alcaraz could become the youngest ATP player in the Open Era to win a career Grand Slam. He could beat the record of Rafael Nadal, who was 24-years-old when he won the US Open in 2010.

The Australian Open is the only Grand Slam missing from Alcaraz’s trophy cabinet. Melbourne will be on his radar next season and in a few weeks, Alcaraz will have an eye on the gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. He is the top contender for the gold due to his current winning streak.

The 21-year-old’s winning percentage at majors is 85%, which is better than Djokovic, Federer and Nadal. Amongst the ‘Big Three,’ Nadal has the highest Grand Slam-winning percentage with 84% but Carlos Alcaraz has already surpassed this number.

Federer had taken 79 matches to collect four Grand Slam wins while Alcaraz needed only 69 matches. Meanwhile, Nadal was when he won his fourth grand slam at the French Open in 2008. Alcaraz managed to do it at the age of 21.

The young Spaniard has become the first player since 1999, other than the ‘Big Three,’ to win multiple slams in a season. The last player to do it was Andre Agassi in 1999.

The youngster has also become the sixth player on the ATP Tour to win the French Open and Wimbledon also known as the Channel Slam in the same season. Alcaraz can end the season as the No. 1 in the rankings if he continues to play like he has done over the past few weeks.

Carlos Alcaraz has reached benchmarks at such a young age. He has only begun his career but has outclassed his rivals by a huge margin. He will now embrace his Wimbledon win and celebrate the fact that he has beaten Djokovic for the second time in a row in a final.
