The Indian Wells Open 2025, officially the BNP Paribas Open, is a premier men’s and women’s tennis tournament in Indian Wells, California. Marking its 51st men’s and 36th women’s edition, it is classified as an ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 event on their respective tours. The main draw runs from March 5 to 16, 2025, on outdoor hard courts at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
The tournament will feature the top men’s and women’s singles players from around the world, including defending champions Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek, and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, who is a 5-time winner at Indian Wells but has not won here since 2016.
Top seeds Aryna Sabalenka and Alexander Zverev will seek their first Indian Wells title despite recent struggles, while other high-ranked contenders are poised to make their path challenging.
10. Karolina Pliskova
Karolina Pliskova, a two-time Grand Slam runner-up, will miss the Indian Wells 2025 event. The Czech has been sidelined since retiring from her US Open match against Jasmine Paolini in August. She underwent left ankle surgery shortly after, and her return to the WTA Tour remains uncertain.

Fresh out of surgery and currently in recovery mode, the Australian is set to miss out on Indian Wells and Miami.

2. Venus Williams
The Indian Wells Open 2025 organisers had offered Venus Williams a wild-card entry, but the American reportedly turned the offer down. The 7-time Grand Slam champion has not played since her first-round exit at the Miami Open last year.
