The Laver Cup 2025 will be held from September 19 to 21.

The Laver Cup is an annual men’s team tennis tournament pitting Team Europe against Team World, played over three days with increasing point values per day. Since its inception in 2017, Team Europe has led the overall series with five titles to Team World’s two.

Europe dominated the early editions, winning the first four tournaments, with Team World breaking through in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, Team Europe reclaimed the title after a dramatic 13-11 victory. The event features top players and tennis legends as captains, making the Laver Cup a unique and highly competitive showcase.

The 2025 Laver Cup will mark the eighth edition of the prestigious men’s team tournament, showcasing a unique battle between Team Europe and Team World. The event is scheduled to take place from September 19 to 21, and it will be staged on indoor hard courts at the iconic Chase Center in San Francisco, United States.

On paper, Team Europe presents a formidable lineup, headlined by World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz and World No. 3 Alexander Zverev. The field strikes an ideal balance of experience, with Casper Ruud providing stability, complemented by the youthful flair of Holger Rune, Jakub Menšík, and Flavio Cobolli.

Team World boasts a strong American presence, led by top-10 stars Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton. Power-hitter Tommy Paul and the dynamic Frances Tiafoe further strengthen the US contingent, while Brazilian teenage sensation João Fonseca and the consistent Francisco Cerúndolo round out the squad.

Adding further excitement, the competition will see a new chapter in leadership, with Yannick Noah guiding Team Europe and Andre Agassi taking charge of Team World—both serving as captains for the first time.

The 2024 Laver Cup, held at the Uber Arena in Berlin, saw Team Europe edge past Team World 13–11 in a thrilling contest to reclaim the trophy.

Despite Team World aiming for a third straight title, Europe, led by Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, and late replacement Grigor Dimitrov, held firm to secure victory and extend their overall series lead to 5–2.
