Nick Kyrgios played his last match at the Stuttgart Open in June 2023.

Nick Kyrgios recently uploaded a small video clip on social media, where he can be seen playing tennis. The Australian tennis star played his last match in June 2023 at the Stuttgart Open, losing against China’s Wu Yibing in straight sets.

After the loss, he revealed that he has been suffering from wrist and knee issues, so he cannot make his comeback to the sport. Moreover, the Aussie has played only one match in the last 21 months.

However, it seems like the 29-year-old is edging closer to a comeback in the grass season. Earlier, he replied to a question on his Instagram story, stating, “Yes. I’m back on court. Forehand is nearing – serving introduced in a month.”

Now, he has uploaded a video on X (formerly Twitter), where he can be seen playing tennis. Here is the video:

Nick Kyrgios’ sporting career has always been affected by injuries. In 2022, he won the Australian Open men’s doubles title alongside countryman Thanasi Kokkinakis. However, he failed to defend his title in Melbourne due to arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.

In addition, the Aussie also reached the final of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, where he lost against Novak Djokovic. However, he had to miss the tournament in 2023 due to a torn ligament in his right wrist. He later revealed that he has also been suffering from knee issues, as he required an extended period of time for recovery.

However, during his break from on-court action, Nick Kyrgios also worked with ESPN and Eurosport as a commentator for the 2024 Australian Open. He also posted a tweet on his X account, where he claimed that he’s excited about working as a commentator for the 2024 Wimbledon Championships.

He also hosts a podcast named “Good Troubles with Nick Kyrgios.” The first entry list for men’s and women’s singles events was released by Wimbledon last week and Kyrgios’ name was not included in the list.
