Alexander made his ATP Paris Masters debut in 2017.

Alexander Zverev is on the verge of making history in ATP Paris Masters 2024. After defeating Holger Rune in the semi-finals, he is one win away from becoming the first German since 1992 to win the title in Paris. Boris Becker was the first German player to win in Paris and he won titles in 1986 which was also the inaugural edition, 1989 and 1992.

Zverev could become the second German in history to triumph in Paris. He is competing in the event for the seventh time and will be playing in his second final. Zverev had reached the finals in 2020 after defeating Rafael Nadal in straight sets in the semi-finals, he then lost to Daniil Medvedev after winning the opening set.

The 27-year-old will face in-form players Ugo Humbert or Karen Khachanov in the Pars final. Zverev has had much more experience in Paris than his rivals as he had made his debut in the event in 2017. He has been used to the fast indoor hardcourts of the AccorHotels Arena. Zverev is chasing history in the finals and has already achieved a milestone after reaching the fourth round in Paris.

Zverev became the fourth player to reach the round of 16 of all nine Masters 1000 events in a single season few days ago. Now he needs one more win to create history for Germany. He has only dropped a single set on his way to the final of ATP Paris Masters 2024. He has spent over seven hours on the court while smashing 43 aces and blasting 87 winners.

Zverev’s first serve average has been well above 210 km/h and his fastest serve was clocked at 229 km/h in the round of 16 against Arthur Fils. The numbers are stacked in favour of the German who is poised to lift the trophy. He has already qualified for ATP finals and a win would be a major boost.

Zverev holds a 1-1 record against Humbert and had defeated him in Paris last season. He also holds a 5-2 record against Khachanov and had lost to the Russian in Paris six years ago. At present, Zverev has the upper hand against his opponent in the final at Paris.
