ATP Paris Masters 2024: All you need to know about prize money and points on offer

Defending champion Novak Djokovic and World No. #1 Jannik Sinner are missing in action.
The ongoing Paris Masters 2024 is a significant event leading up to the ATP Finals, which gets underway in November. Paris hosts the final ATP 1000 event of the season between October 28 and November 3.
Novak Djokovic, the 2023 defending champion, was World No. #1 last season when he won his eighth Paris Masters trophy. He is now World No. #4 and is in danger of not qualifying for the year-ending ATP Finals in Turin. The Serb is a seven-time winner of the ATP Finals and the current defending champion.
The current World No. #1, Jannik Sinner, was a casualty of a stomach bag as he joined Djokovic to watch the proceedings of the 2024 Paris Masters unfold from the sidelines. Unlike Djokovic, Sinner has stitched up his qualifying spot for the year-ending event in Turin and the year-end No. #1 ranking.

Felix Auger-Aliassime, Pablo Carreño Busta, Flavio Cobolli, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and Sebastian Korda are other participants absent from the ATP 1000 Paris.
In the absence of Djokovic and Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz stepped into the shoes as the top seed at the prestigious event. The Spaniard was poised to go all the way and add a second Masters trophy in 2024 to his cabinet.
Instead, Alcaraz’s journey at Paris-Bercy ended in the third round, where he ran into an inspired Ugo Humbert. The Frenchman, by winning the first five games of the match, was off to a blistering start on Court Central. The home favourite prevailed 6-1, 3-6, 7-5 in an entertaining encounter to book a quarter-final spot-on home turf.
The defeat of Alcaraz has denied fans in Paris an opportunity to witness the ATP No. #2 player in action as the tournament progresses. Humbert’s two-hour and 17-minute win here equals his victory against then No. #2 Daniil Medvedev at the 2022 ATP Cup for the joint biggest of his career by ATP ranking.
