Carlos Alcaraz lost in the fourth round of Paris Masters 2024.
Carlos Alcaraz opened up on his experience while playing in ATP Paris Masters 2024. He had lost in the fourth round to France’s Ugo Humbert in three sets. Alcaraz admitted that his opponent played well and deserved the win but also pointed out the difference of the courts in Paris. He pointed out that the court speed was not an excuse for his early loss in the event.
On being asked about his performance in the match against Alcaraz said, ‘It is very difficult to play in these conditions. For me, for my level, I try to change up as much as I can to this court, to this speed. I thought that it suits pretty well to my game, but it doesn’t.’ He went on to reveal that the Davis Cup indoor courts were much slower as compared to the ones in Paris.
The world No #2 mentioned that the courts in Paris are one of the fastest in ATP tour history. He further said that he did not understand why the courts have been made differently for the event. Alcaraz was making his fourth appearance at Paris Masters this season but is yet to go beyond the quarter-finals.

When and where will Carlos Alcaraz play his next match?
After suffering a painful exit in Paris, Alcaraz will be back on the tour for the ATP Finals 2024. Alcaraz will be competing in the event for the second successive year after reaching the semifinals in 2023.
The 21-year-old had qualified for the ATP Finals in 2022 too but had to withdraw due to an injury. This season, Alcaraz will be aiming to win the title for the first time as it will be his final event of the year ahead of the Davis Cup. He will be ending the season after playing the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga, Spain.
Alcaraz will be taking a break for a few days as the ATP Finals are expected to start from November 10 and will go on for a week. The Davis Cup Finals will immediately begin as players will not have much time to recover. Alcaraz will spend the next few days on recovery as he will need to be in good shape to face his rivals in Turin, Italy.
