Stefanos Tsitsipas is the defending champion at the ATP 500 event.

The ATP 500 action moves to ATP Dubai Open 2026. It will be the 34th edition of the Dubai Tennis Championships, and the singles draw features 32 players without any byes.

Defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Alexander Bublik and former champions Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev will be the top stars of the show.

Not to be forgotten is the 2016 champion, Stan Wawrinka, who has been given a wildcard for the ATP 500 event. The retirement-bound Swiss is currently ranked No. 98 in the world.

Making a return to competitive tennis and an injury-related layoff will be Jack Draper. This will be Draper’s first event in seven months and his debut appearance at the venue.

Also among the lineup are semi-finalist Jakub Mensik and the finalist Arthur Fils, of the recently concluded Qatar Open.

Regional players, the Tunisian Moez Echargui and Lebanese Benjamin Hassan, have been handed wildcards.

Early round matchups will see last year’s finalist, Auger-Aliassime taken on Zhizhen Zhang; Arthur Fils against Jiri Lehecka. Stef Tsistipas, after a dip in ranking and in form, will open against 2024 champion Ugo Humbert. Wawrinka, the 2016 winner, will begin his campaign against Benjamin Hassan.

Other noteworthy first-round matches – Jakub Mensik vs Hubert Hurkacz; Daniil Medvedev, the 2023 winner, facing China’s Juncheng Shang and fifth seed and 2022 champion Andrey Rublev against France’s Valentin Royer.
