US Open 2026: Full updated schedule for today (September 12), Day 14

The women’s singles and men’s doubles finals will be held today

Alexander Zverev reached his third straight Grand Slam final on Friday, beating Russia’s Karen Khachanov 6-3, 7-6(7), 7-6(6) in the US Open 2026 semi-final, an outing far tighter than the scoreline suggests. He will play Ben Shelton on Sunday, after he beat fellow American Frances Tiafoe in four sets.

Shelton has the chance to win his maiden Major title and become the first American man to win a Slam since Andy Roddick’s title run in 2003.

Earlier in the day, Taylor Townsend of the USA and Czech Republic’s Katerina Siniakova completed the career Grand Slam together, coming from a set down to beat wild-card American pair Ashlyn Krueger and Robin Montgomery in the women’s doubles final. It was Townsend’s fourth major title and Siniakova’s 12th.

On Saturday, the tournament will produce a couple of more high-voltage clashes. Christian Harrison of the USA and Great Britain’s Neal Skupski will open play against the German duo Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz in the men’s doubles final.

The evening will feature the highly anticipated women’s singles final, with current World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka facing soon-to-be World No. 1 Elena Rybakina.

Sabalenka is chasing a third successive US Open crown, and also her first Slam of the season, while Rybakina is looking to clinch her maiden title in New York. Both players have been the best performers over the past year or so and have already battled three times this season.

A rematch of the Australian Open and Indian Wells finals, this encounter promises to be a blockbuster if their previous meetings are any indication.
