US Open 2026: Full updated schedule for today (September 10), Day 12

A stacked WTA field comprising of all top-4 players will clash to secure a place in the final

Day 12 of the US Open 2026 brings the women’s semi-finals, after a quarter-final that delivered fireworks on both sides of the draw.

For the first time since 1975, all four top seeds in the women’s field reached the last four, with Elena Rybakina completing that sweep by beating Qinwen Zheng 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 to seal the World No. 1 ranking regardless of how the rest of the tournament plays out.

Coco Gauff survived a scare against Mirra Andreeva, in a match where both players struggled for rhythm, while Jessica Pegula and Aryna Sabalenka had secured their position in the final four a couple of days earlier.

The men’s draw was just as dramatic. Karen Khachanov advanced when Alexander Blockx, who had been enjoying the best run of his young career, was forced to retire with a rib injury while trailing 6-2, 7-5, 2-2.

Top seed Alexander Zverev then closed out the night with a clean 6-2, 7-5, 6-1 win over Botic van de Zandschulp, setting up a semi-final against Khachanov on Friday, alongside the already-confirmed all-American clash between Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.

Today, though, belongs entirely to the women. On Arthur Ashe, defending champion Aryna Sabalenka takes on Jessica Pegula in the evening session, with the winner guaranteed a spot in Saturday’s final.

Later, new World No. 1 Elena Rybakina faces local hope Coco Gauff in a blockbuster contest. For both Rybakina and Gauff, it will be quick turnaround, and they will have to recover quickly from their intense battles yesterday.
