Meanwhile, 22-year-old Alcaraz has been flawless, yet to drop a single set so far. He enters the semi-final after a smooth 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Jiri Lehecka.

Since his loss to Jannik Sinner in the 2024 Wimbledon final, Alcaraz has bounced back incredibly, clinching the Cincinnati Open title and now aiming for his second US Open and fifth Grand Slam crown.

However, Alcaraz now faces the toughest challenge in New York up against Djokovic who is determined to spoil the plans of fans who are expecting yet another Sinner vs Alacarz summit clash. It will mark the Serb’s 14th semi-final appearance at the US Open.

Djokovic and Alcaraz have met each other eight times in their career and the Serbian legend holds a 5-3 lead in their head-to-head.
