Wimbledon 2021: Day 12 telecast & live streaming

Both players will look to win their maiden grass-court Grand Slam title.

World No. 1 Ashleigh Barty is facing Czech Republic’s Karolina Pliskova in the women's singles final of Wimbledon 2021.

Ashleigh Barty defeated 2018 champion Angelique Kerber to reach the final of the tournament. On the other hand, Karolina Pliskova overcame Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in a fiercely competitive semi-final.

The Australian Tennis star won in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 against Kerber to reach her maiden Wimbledon final. Pliskova defeated Sabalenka with a scoreline of 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

After saving a breakpoint in a nervy opening game on a sunny Centre Court, Barty was supreme in the first set as her all-court game flowed on the grass. The 33-year-old Kerber used all her experience on the surface to hit back in the second set and looked poised to take it into a decider. However, Barty got back to the groove and broke to love.

Kerber’s game went off from thereon. Ashleigh Barty surged into a 6-0 lead in the second-set tiebreaker. Despite, missing out on three match points, she was never going to let her opportunity slip. A netted backhand from Kerber sent Barty through to her second Grand Slam final, having won the French Open in 2019. The 25-year-old is now aiming to emulate her idol Evonne Goolagong Cawley, who won two Wimbledon crowns in her career.

Three more finals will be played on Saturday. Mate Pavic and Nikalo Mektic will take on Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the men's doubles final. In the women's doubles final, Elena Vesnina and Veronika Kudermetova will be facing the dynamic duo of Hsieh Su-Wei and Elise Mertens.

Desirae Krawczyk and Neal Skupski will play against Zhang Shuai and John Peers in the mixed doubles final.
