Rhea Ripley expresses her desire to be Edge’s final career feud
“The Rated R Superstar” looks set to retire soon
“The Rated R Superstar”, Edge came out of his first retirement after nine years at the WWE Royal Rumble 2020. He had a warm welcome from the crowd with a loud crowd reaction. He is having a great second run in WWE with some of the best matches and rivalries against Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, The Judgement Day, Daniel Bryan and The Miz. While being involved in active wrestling, his retirement plans started speculating around the wrestling industry.
Edge revealed his retirement plans on social media and in an interview and expressed his desire before retirement. Edge stated that he has a year and even more left in his tank and wishes to have a World Heavyweight Championship reign. Although WWE has not yet planned Edge’s retirement and no retirement date is announced, it has been the talking point on the internet. To one such topic on the internet, Rhea Ripley replied her desire.
What did Rhea Ripley say on Edge’s Retirement?
To a tweet, “Who should Edge’s final feud be against?” by Just Talk Wrestling, Mami commented “Me”. She is no stranger to Edge, as Rhea entered the Judgment Day under the leadership of Edge. She turned on him by aligning herself with Finn Balor and Damien Priest.
They had multiple mixed tag team matches in the past on multiple occasions and her involvement has impacted a major part of Edge’s matches with Judgement Day members. Being in the opposite corners in the past, to wishing to have a retirement match with Edge, Rhea is now the hot topic around the wrestling industry.
Rhea is one of the most dominant women wrestlers of this generation and has an ability to fight against male superstars. She has attacked multiple male wrestlers in the past including Akira Tozawa, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and most recently Wes Lee. She has even attacked Edge, while he feuded with the Judgement Day.
Will we see Edge vs Rhea Ripley match in the future? Will WWE bring back the intergender matches? It’s all in the hands of the company and the narratives.
