Eric Bischoff wants Cody Rhodes to be the next face of WWE

Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in 2021 and has been one of the greatest babyfaces of the company. He delivered some of the greatest matches in the wrestling industry including his feud with Seth Rollin, Brock Lesnar and pursuits to capture the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Since he made his return, Cody has been focusing on ending the story by capturing the world title and fulfilling his father’s dream.
Although Cody failed to capture the title at WrestleMania, he never let the top card spotlight away from him. At this stage the WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff expressed his desire to see Cody Rhodes as the next face of WWE.
Eric Bischoff of Cody Rhodes
On the past week's 83 Weeks Podcast, Eric Bischoff discussed Who is the top star in WWE?. Eric Bischoff stated that Roman Reigns has been the top star of the company for the past three years, however he wants the company to go with Cody Rhodes for the next few years.
Eric Bischoff says,
"Roman Reigns certainly is the man right now, that's where the focus is. Cody's gotta be the guy. As of right now, Cody is the future of WWE for the next 24-36 months, for sure. What happens after that, who knows, injuries, other opportunities, other stars that come out of the woodwork? Who knows what the future is? I would imagine most of the planning and the conversation are around Cody and what's gonna happen at WrestleMania." [h/t Sportskeeda]
Cody Rhodes has all the potential to be the face of the company. He is the top babyface, has great connections with the WWE Universe, has huge reception wherever he goes, great in-ring skills, and delivered some of the greatest matches and storylines. However all he misses is a World Championship win.
Do you think Cody could be the babyface in the next 2 to 3 years as stated by Eric Bischoff? What’s your thoughts on that? Share with us in the comments.
