CM Punk made his surprise return at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, during the final moments of the show. That was the first time since CM Punk stepped foot inside the WWE arena in almost a decade. His return generated a huge reaction from the WWE Universe all across the world and from the home crowd at Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

The huge chants continued on Raw, where he addressed the WWE Universe in Nashville, Tennessee and had a live microphone session. Punk spoke about how his fans supported him during his time off, backstage reactions and his return. He visited SmackDown and NXT last week and had a great time in all three shows.

On the latest episode of Raw, he officially signed with Raw and was confronted by the World Heavyweight Champion, who warned him not to claim this as his home after trying to bury the company. Rollins then claimed that he is the “Real Best in the World” and not him, which made CM Punk announce his participation in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

He guaranteed that he would win the rumble and might challenge Rollins for the world title shot at WrestleMania 40. As most fans wonder, if they need to wait so long to watch CM Punk wrestle in the WWE ring, Punk’s first match has been announced and it is weeks away.

CM Punk’s first match and venue

The most popular wrestling arena, Madison Square Garden, announced earlier today that CM Punk is available for the December 26, 2023 show of WWE Live Holiday Tour. This will be the first time that Punk will be stepping foot in the WWE arena in over 9 years for a match. CM Punk will be facing “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio in a singles match.

CM Punk will also be wrestling at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on December 30, 2023 WWE Live Holiday Tour against the same “Dirty” Dominik and the ticket sales for both the shows are now available in the ticket master portal.

Based on the current booking it seems like CM Punk would be making his first televised match from January 2024 and would some way be around the feud with The Judgment Day. Last time CM Punk wrestled for WWE was way back in 2014 at the Royal Rumble match. His last singles match in WWE was against Billy Gun on the January 20, 2014 episode of Monday Night Raw.
