Predicting the Road to WWE WrestleMania 40 for CM Punk & Cody Rhodes

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes are two of the top wrestlers in WWE at current roster, both came back to the company with a similar goal of finishing the storyline of becoming the world champion and main eventing WrestleMania. As Punk is about to sign the brand exclusive contract and Cody is said to face Shinsuke Nakamura on Raw, here we predict the Road to WrestleMania for Punk & Rhodes.

Prediction: CM Punk & Cody Rhodes’ road to WWE WrestleMania 40

Punk signs to SmackDown, Cody ends feud with Shinsuke Nakamura 

CM Punk will have a strong negotiation from the Raw and SmackDown General Managers Adam Pearce & Nick Aldis on Raw. However, would sign the SmackDown contract to get his viceman Paul Heyman with him. Cody Rhodes on the other hand would defeat Shisuke Nakamura and continue the feud for the next few weeks. 

Punk will be confronting Roman Reigns on SmackDown and would tease that he is the real Paul Heyman and he wants him back. Reigns would not allow Paul Heyman to leave him and this could cause tension inside the Bloodline. Cody will end his feud with Shinsuke Nakamura and would start cutting promo teasing that he would be coming for Roman Reigns for finishing the storyline by winning the Rumble and head lining the show of shows.

Punk wins the 2024 Royal Rumble

Punk and Cody develop a healthy competition over who would win the Royal Rumble match. Both will enter the Rumble, where Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso will cost the match for Cody and Jey making them unable to get near Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. However Punk would prevail and eventually win the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble to main event WrestleMania 40.

Plot Twist for a Sweet Revenge

After Punk winning the Rumble, Seth Rollins will challenge Punk to challenge him to the World Heavyweight Championship and would be involved in a brawl week after, similar to his feud with Shinsuke Nakamura. Punk will then announce that he choses Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Champion and would be traded to Raw, as a countertrade Cody will be drafted to SmackDown.

Elimination Chamber: #1 Contender

Rhodes will be entering the Elimination Chamber match to become the #1 Contender for the Universal Championship and would win the match to challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

WrestleMania 40: Finishing the story

At the main event of WrestleMania XL Night-1, Punk would defeat Seth Rollins to become the World Heavyweight Champion. At the main event of WrestleMania Night-2, Rhodes will face Roman and win the Universal Championship.
