WWE provides injury update on Kevin Owens

On the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Kevin Owens confronted the United States Champion Logan Paul after being announced as one of the participants of United States Championship #1 Contenders tournament. Owens told Logan to count his days as the U.S. Champion as he is coming for that. Where Paul said that he could knock out Kevin Owens in six seconds.
As both argued, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, who were knocked out by Owens almost a month ago, appeared & Kevin Owens knocked Austin Theory out. After which Owens and Waller had a match, where Theory stomped Owens’ hand while the referee was distracted.
Owens screamed in pain, and Waller kept targeting his hurt hand again and again. Despite being badly hurt, Owens still managed to win the match.
Kevin Owens injured
WWE then officially released a video on their social media handles, where Kevin Owens was escorted by a WWE security guard to the X-ray room for identifying the status of his injury. Earlier today, WWE officially retweeted on X, that Kevin Owens sustained an injury by fracturing his 4th and 5th metacarpal. It is expected that Kevin Owens could take some time for recovery and would be back sooner.
It is unknown whether Owens will be able to continue with the United States Championship tournament featuring other stars including Dragon Lee, Santos Escobar, Grayson Waller, Austin Theory, Bobby Lashley, Karrion Kross and one star from NXT.
The tournament starts next week, and two matches have been scheduled including Santos Escobar vs Dragon Lee & Bobby Lashley vs Karrion Kross.
As Owens is announced to be injured, it is not sure if it is real or a part of his storyline to delay his feud against Logan Paul for the United States Championship. We need to wait until further updates.
