U.S. Title Tournament Finals- Kevin Owens vs Santos Escobar

Kevin Owens vs Santos Escobar

Kevin Owens and Santos Escobar defeated Carmelo Hayes and Bobby Lashley in the semi finals of the U.S. title tournament and advanced to the finals. This week at New Year’s Revolution, they will go one on one at the finals and the winner will earn the United States Championship opportunity at Royal Rumble against Logan Paul. As per speculations, Kevin Owens will win the match despite the distraction from Los Lotharios, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller and challenge Logan Paul at Royal Rumble.

WWE Women’s Championship match- IYO SKY vs Michin

IYO SKY vs Michin

Two weeks ago at SmackDown tapings, Michin pinned the WWE Women’s Champion at the Holiday Havoc Street Fight. As a result, IYO SKY will be defending her WWE Women’s Championship against Michin in a singles match. As per speculations, IYO SKY will retain her championship title with the help of Damage CTRL, especially with the help of Bayley.

#1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match- AJ Styles vs Randy Orton vs LA Knight

AJ Styles vs Randy Orton vs LA Knight

AJ Styles, LA Knight and Randy Orton had an argument two weeks ago at SmackDown tapings over who would fight Roman Reigns first. To solve the problem, SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis came out and announced a triple threat match between the trio at SmackDown New Year’s Revolution and the winner will be facing Reigns at Royal Rumble. As per speculations, the match would end in a referee stoppage and all three would be facing Roman Reigns in a Fatal Four Way match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble.

Butch & ? vs Pretty Deadly

Butch & ? vs Pretty Deadly

Butch and Pretty Deadly had a backstage confrontation and Butch attacked both Elton Prince and Kitt Wilson all alone. Nick Aldis addressed the issue and asked Butch to find a tag team partner to face Pretty Deadly at SmackDown New Year’s Revolution. As per speculation, Tyler Bate from NXT would likely join Butch as his tag team partner and will have a win over Pretty Deadly.

This week’s SmackDown will be telecasted on Saturday Morning at 6.30 AM on Sony Sports 1 and Sony Sports 1 HD. WWE premium users can stream the show on the WWE Network.
