Worlds Collide was the first PLE after WWE’s acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA
A historic event unfolded as WWE and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide officially joined forces to deliver Worlds Collide 2025. The special show was part of a jam-packed day of action, with WWE’s latest acquisition, AAA, hosting its first event under the WWE banner on the afternoon of June 7.
It aired for free on WWE‘s YouTube channel and served as a grand lead-in to Money in the Bank 2025, held later that night at the Intuit Dome.
The event featured five exciting matches, including two major title bouts. Rising stars from both promotions had the opportunity to impress in front of a global audience, and several AAA performers truly stole the show.
Here are the four stars from AAA who stood out and wowed the WWE Universe at Worlds Collide:
4. Dalys
Dalys may have ended up on the losing side, but her performance against Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice was a highlight of the afternoon. Teaming with Chik Tormenta, Dalys showed her power and experience early in the tag team contest.
She dominated the opening moments against Vaquer and displayed the hard-hitting lucha style that fans love. Despite eventually being pinned following Vaquer’s SVB finisher, Dalys made a strong impression as a powerhouse in the women’s division.

3. Octagón Jr.
Octagón Jr. made his WWE debut at Worlds Collide and immediately delivered. Teaming with Aero Star and Mr. Iguana, he picked up a big win over Lince Dorado and the Latino World Order (Dragon Lee and Cruz Del Toro).
Octagón Jr.’s agility and flashy offense caught the attention of fans and commentators alike. Later that night, he wrestled again at Money in the Bank, challenging Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship. While he didn’t win, his presence across both shows proved that he’s ready for the big stage.
2. El Hijo del Vikingo
One of the biggest names to come from AAA, El Hijo del Vikingo, lived up to the hype. The reigning AAA Mega Champion defended his title against Chad Gable in a thrilling, fast-paced match.
Vikingo’s incredible aerial ability and resilience kept the fans on the edge of their seats. Not only did he retain his championship, but he also cemented his place as one of the top international stars now under WWE’s roof.
1. Mr. Iguana
The breakout star of the night was Mr. Iguana. Teaming with Octagón Jr. and Aero Star, Iguana had the crowd in the palm of his hand with his comedic timing, charisma, and in-ring antics.
According to Fightful Select, the internal reaction to his performance was “overwhelmingly positive,” with some in WWE even suggesting he appear at Money in the Bank. His popularity exploded on social media as well, proving he has what it takes to connect with WWE’s global audience.
