Concerns in WWE over low ticket sales for SummerSlam 2026 - Report

Summer’s biggest party is three weeks away.
With three weeks to go, the Road to SummerSlam 2026 is underway. However, a new report has revealed that ticket sales for the PLE have fallen short of expectations, becoming a major topic of discussion within WWE over the past several weeks.
According to WrestleVotes, the low ticket sales have been a hot topic in the promotion over the past month. The report also notes that the low ticket sales have been a concern for weeks. The discussion initially emerged after a report from WrestleTix.
“The SummerSlam ticket sale story, or lack thereof, has been a hot topic in Stamford over the past month or so. This isn’t a realization that came today. It’s been a concern internally for weeks.”
According to a report from WrestleTix that kicked off the discussions about low ticket sales, SummerSlam had distributed 22,069 tickets for Night 1 and 23,809 tickets for Night 2.
The 39th edition of SummerSlam will air as a two-night spectacle on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
CM Punk will defend the Undisputed title against Cody Rhodes
One of the most recent announced matches for the PLE is an Undisputed title showdown between the newly crowned Champion CM Punk and former multi-time Champion Cody Rhodes. The match was announced during the July 10 edition of SmackDown, where Punk returned after capturing the title on Raw in Chicago.
On the other hand, Liv Morgan is set to defend the Women’s World title against Iyo Sky, while Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar will meet for the third time, this time it will be Hell in a Cell.
Furthermore, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns battles his former Shield brother, Seth Rollins, and Penta will defend the Intercontinental title against the winner of the gauntlet match on the July 13 Raw.
