WrestleMania 42 will be held in Las Vegas!
The 42nd edition of WrestleMania was originally scheduled to emanate from New Orleans, Louisiana. However, it was later confirmed that WrestleMania 42 will no longer be held in New Orleans in 2026.
Following this, NOLA.com reported that Las Vegas is expected to host WrestleMania in 2026, marking the second year in a row the city would hold the event. However, the cancellation news has led many fans to hope that the promotion will choose to host the PLE on an international stage.
While there have been multiple bids, here we take a look at the top five countries that should host the ‘Grandest Stage’ in pro wrestling.
5. India
In an interview with Hindustan Times, WWE President Nick Khan said the company is considering having a Premium Live Event (PLE) in India in the next two years. While the promotion has only hosted a couple of live events, it is now planning to give the fans in the country a spectacle. India is a massive market for the Stamford-based promotion, and hosting a WrestleMania event there would be an incredible surprise for fans.

4. Saudi Arabia
The promotion already has a long-standing relationship with Saudi Arabia, and has hosted multiple live events, weekly shows of Raw and SmackDown, along with a plethora of PLEs. In 2018, WWE entered into a 10-year strategic partnership with the Ministry of Sport to host pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming events in Saudi Arabia. The promotion is also set to host Night of Champions PLE this year.
3. France
Backlash 2024 in Lyon, France, became an iconic event due to the passionate and iconic fans. Some of the entrances and segments from the show went viral on social media due to the response of the fans in the crowd. The promotion is set to host Clash in Paris in August this year. France is one of the biggest markets in Europe, and it makes sense even business-wise for the WWE to hold a Mania PLE there.

2. Canada
WrestleMania has been held outside the United States only twice, and both times it took place in Toronto, Canada: the first time it was at WrestleMania VI in 1990, and then at WrestleMania X8 in 2002.
Canada recently hosted the Elimination Chamber at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, highlighting the country’s deep-rooted history in professional wrestling. With several Canadian legends still actively performing in WWE, another WrestleMania Premium Live Event in Canada could serve as a powerful tribute to the nation’s significant contributions to the sport.
1. England
England has long been in contention to host WrestleMania, and the Mayor of London has been in talks with the WWE in the past. The Wembley Stadium, located in London, is on the perfect spot to host the ‘Grandest Stage’. While the London crowd itself is enough to sell fans on the city hosting the event, add to that it emanating from Wembley, which is the largest stadium in the UK with a seating capacity of 90,000.
The stadium will help the promotion create history and break records when it comes to total attendance at the ‘Grandest Stage’. WWE’s rival promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has already set one of a kind record during the trip to the Wembley Stadium. AEW: All In London in 2023 broke numerous records within the pro wrestling world.
