The MITB is viewed as a stepping stone to becoming the World Champion in WWE.

WWE is basking in the success of its successful PLEs in the Paul “Triple H” Levesque era that began with WrestleMania 40 and was followed by the largest gate in the history of any arena show at WWE Backlash France. With more Premium Live Events in the pipeline, a highly popular show that is set two months from now is WWE Money in the Bank.

The action-packed Premium Live Event is set to take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Although the road is still far, but the golden opportunity possessed inside the Money in the Bank briefcases for both Men and Women is undeniable. It is often viewed as a stepping stone for a WWE Superstar to become the next World Champion.

Speaking about the men’s side, here are five early predictions for WWE superstars to become the next Mr Money in the Bank in Canada:

5. Carmelo Hayes

A major NXT standout acquired by Friday Night SmackDown in the WWE Draft 2024 was the incomparable Carmelo Hayes. The A Champ of NXT was credited as one of the top prospects in the Black and Gold brand which led to him being selected in the first round picks of the WWE Draft.

Moreover, he displayed an excellent showing in the ring on his very first night on SmackDown against the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. With a popular fan base, incredible in-ring acumen, and a bright future, Carmelo Hayes seems an ideal candidate to become the next Mr. Money in the Bank.

4. Jey Uso

If there is one WWE superstar other than Roman Reigns who benefitted from the highly acclaimed Bloodline saga, it has to be none other than Jey Uso. The leader of the YEET movement has risen to become one of the most popular WWE superstars of this generation, as witnessed every week on Monday Night RAW.

While Jey nearly missed out on his World Championship opportunity at WWE Backlash in France, Money in the Bank could be the perfect spot for the Main Event One to begin his road to the ultimate glory that the fans have been longing to see.

3. Ilja Dragunov

Ilja Dragunov has carved out one of the most remarkable resumes with his tenure in WWE NXT UK and NXT. Known for his hard-hitting offense, The Mad Dragon is regarded as the future main event player of the company.

Moreover, Dragunov was recently called up to RAW as part of the WWE Draft 2024 and displayed an impressive performance in his RAW debut. The ongoing momentum for Ilja Dragunov could be cemented by winning the Money in the Bank ladder match and inching him closer to the World championship picture.

2. LA Knight

LA Knight has transformed from a mid-card talent into WWE’s resident Megastar that we know today. Moreover, he was heavily favored by the fans to win last year’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Despite coming up short, LA Knight went on to have a spectacular year ahead. WWE could capitalize on his growing YEAH! movement by booking LA Knight to win the Money in the Bank ladder match this year.

1. CM Punk

CM Punk sent shockwaves across the wrestling industry with his monumental return to WWE last November. Although he is currently out of action due to a tricep injury, Punk made his intentions clear before he was back in WWE to rise above the entire locker room.

The road to CM Punk’s resurgence could possibly begin at WWE Money in the Bank with his return to the ring and climbing the ladder to claim the coveted briefcase he has won back-to-back at WrestleMania 24 and 25 and successfully cashed in to become World Champion.
