WWE Backlash 2024 Results, Highlights & Winners: Cody Rhodes retains, New Bloodline member debut

Solo & Tama defeated Orton & Owens, Toma Loa debut, Jade & Bianca won tag team gold, Bayley, Priest, Rhodes retain and more!!!
The Backlash 2024 is officially over and it is one of the best pay-per-view event in recent times. The French crowd broke the record for the greatest in-arena gate record. WWE held a total of five matches, where four titles were defended and one new champions were crowned. Get to know what happened on this year’s Backlash, as we came out with the complete summary, highlights & results for the show.
Backlash 2024 Summary & Highlights
Tag Team Street Fight- Kevin Owens & Randy Orton vs The Bloodline
Before the match began the brawl broke out and securities came to separate them. Nick Aldis came out and announced it as the street fight. The match began with Kevin Owens taking out Tama Tonga & Randy Orton taking out Solo Sikoa to the audience area. Kevin Owens came to take down Solo, but both took down Owens. Randy & Kevin took them in control again, with Owens super kicking Solo and hit a Frog Splash. Owens & Orton broke two trash can hitting on their head.
Orton and Owens punished Tama Tonga swinging the Kendo stick on his back. Both unveil the table, but Solo broke the table with Samoan dropping Randy. The Bloodline took control of Kevin Owens punishing him with kendo stick and trash can. Kevin Owens tried to fight back, but the number games play out, as Orton is laid down.
Owens broke the table sending Solo to the corner. Tama Tonga took Owens down. He went on to take the chair to attack Owens, but Randy is back. Orton took Tama Tonga down and hit an RKO, but Solo broke the pin.
Solo Sikoa cleared the announcement table to hit a Samoan Spike, but Randy hit an RKO. Owens brutally striked Tonga with the chair and slammed him to the table. Owens went for the pin, but Tonga Loa (Tama Tonga’s brother) pulled the referee down. He hit Randy Orton with the steel steps. Solo Sikoa hit Kevin Owens with a Spinning Solo and Samoan Spike for the win.
WWE Women’s Championship Match- Bayley (C) vs Naomi vs Tiffany Stratton
The match began with all the three countering each other’s move, and countering the pinfalls. Tiffany Stratton showcase her gymnastic skills and hit a splash on Naomi and hit a couple of stomp on Naomi & Bayley. Tiffy takes full control of the match by taking Naomi & Bayley in control. Naomi came to counter Tiffy, and speared her out of the ring. Tiffany took Naomi out to the time keepers area. Bayley hit Tiffy with a suicide dive.
Naomi took Bayley with a overhead kick. Naomi hit a split leg moonsault on Tiffy & Bayley broke the pin. Naomi hit a powerbomb on Tiffy & Bayley hit an elbow drop to break the pin. Baylet hit Naomi with a flip powerbomb to the turnbuckle. Tiffy countered it.
Naomi grabbed Tiffy down. Tiffy hit Alabama Slam on both Naomi and Bayley and took both in to hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, but both escaped. Both took Tiffy down with an One-D and sent her out. Bayley & Naomi rolled back to back & Bayley sucessfully pinned to retain the championship.
Backstage
Solo Sikoa with Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa crossed Jey with a stair. Heyman had a look at Jey and left with The Bloodline.
World Heavyweight Championship Match- Damian Priest (C) vs Jey Uso
The match began with Damian Priest takin initial control by taking down Jey running through the barricade and taking him down with clothesline. Priest kicks Jey in the mid-section, Jey counters and hit a backdrop. Jey hit his signature rapid punches and step up enzigiri. Jey hit a crossbody from the top rope and hit a suicide dive outside the ring.
While entering the ring, JD McDonagh hit Jey on the groin pulling the rope. Damian Priest yells JD for being here. Jey Uso superkicked JD & Priest and hit a Frog Splash, but Priest kicked out.
Both exchange their hands. Jey hit a superkick, Priest hit an elbow strike, Jey hit a step up enzigiri, Priest hit a overhead kick. Priest took Jey down with Razer’s Edge and looks for the South of heaven chokeslam, but Jey countered it with a spear.
Finn Balor came to save Priest, but Jey superkicked him. priest used the momentum to hit South of Heaven Chokeslam, but Jey kicked out. Priest hit rolling over the head kick twice. Jey countered the third and hit four superckicks and a spear. Jey hit a frog splash and went for the pin, but JD took Priest’s leg to the ropes to break the pin.
Jey took JD with a suicide dive and Finn Balor with a spear. Jey climbs the top rope, but Priest stopped him and hit the South of Heaven Chokeslam from the top rope to retain the championship.
After the match, Finn Balor & JD McDonagh attacked Jey, but Priest pushed them away saying not to involve in his business.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match- The Kabuki Warriors (C) vs Bianca Belair & Asuka
Bianca Belair & Asuka start the match with both pushing each other, where Belair pushed the Asuka down. Asuka fights back locking her with a submission maneuver. Belair soon took down Asuka. Jade and Kairi are the legal woman. Jade hit a couple of back breaker. Belair & Cargill threw Kairi down.
Belair hit ten punches to the face. Outside the ring, Asuka hit a back of the head kick on Belair & Kairi hit a Crossbody from the top rope. Back in the ring Kabuki warriors took control of Belair.
Kairi hit a forearm from the top rope, Belair tries to fight back and hit a vertical suplex. Bianca scrolls to tag Cargill in, but Kairi took Cargill out. Kabuki Warriors took control of Belair in control and they look for their finisher reverse DDT & Insane elbow, but Belair escaped and went on to tag Jade.
Jade hit a spring board corssbody and a cycle kick on Asuka and went on to corner splash both of them. Jade hit a double chokeslam and a slam. However Kabuki Warriors took control of Jade with back arm swings, Kairi hit a tornado back slam, but she is not legal to pin. Kairi finally gets the tag, and locks Jade with an armbar. Asuka locks Belair with the arm bar, but both broke the submission powerbombing them.
Belair got tagged in and both hit an innovative offense of a DDT & a German Suplex. Asuka took Jade out pushing her to the steel steps. kabuki Warriors hit their finisher on Belair, but Jade breaks the pin. Jade hit Jaded on Kairi & Belair hit KOD on Asuka for the win.
Undisputed WWE Championship Match- Cody Rhodes (C) vs AJ Styles
The match began with both rolling on the ropes locking their shoulders. Both counter each other’s take down. Cody finally slaps back AJ in return after last night’s slap from Cody. Both exchange chops and Cody hit a drop kick on Styles & mocks Star Dust. AJ Styles hit a drop kick, Cody threw Styles over the head.
Cody lifted Styles upside down over the head and hit a gut buster. Styles fights back and took Cody down. Both exchange strikes and Styles hit face first on the rope. Styles bangs Cody’s head to the announcement table. Styles clears the French commentary table, but Cody pushed Styles to the steel stairs.
Cody lifted Styles on the top rope for a vertical suplex, but crash landed hurting his back. Cody fights back hitting a powerslam and a disaster kick. Styles slammed Cody back of the neck to his knee. Cody hit a Bulldog on Styles. AJ Styles hit Cody back first on the apron, breaking him in half. Cody then power bombed Styles to the announcement table, breaking it.
Both break the countdown and both exchange the same moves on each other. They’re fired up, where Styles hit Styles’ blitz, but Cody countered it and hit a Bionic Elbow. Styles put cody down and hit a Springboard 450 splash. Syles hit a burning hammer on Cody, but Cody is fired up, he is begging for more. Cody hit him with a Cody Cutter.
Cody hit a clothesline and gets the energy from the crowd. he looks for Cross Rhodes, but Styes countered it with a Pele kick. Styles looks for a Phenomenal ForeArm, but Cody counters with the knee. Cody locks Styles with a Kimura. Both counter each other’s finisher & Cody Rhodes hit the Cross Rhodes to pick up the win.
Backlash 2024 Results
