The upcoming PLE will take place at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are two of the biggest egotistical persons on the active WWE roster. Egos of both the superstars have been put together in a rivalry since the very beginning of the year. Both started their feud reagrding who will win the Royal Rumble match. They carried their rivalry throughout the road to WrestleMania XL, where Drew took credit for injuring Punk and ending his WrestleMania dream.
In the absence of Punk, Drew took Punk’s spot and went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL Night 2, with Punk being on the commentary. However, his title reign didn’t last long as Punk attacked McIntyre and paved the way for Damian Priest to successfully cash-in the Money in the Bank (MITB) contract.
Drew also got injured from the incident, making him step out of in-ring action. However both cooked their feud with the mic. Drew is now cleared and is all set to face Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle 2024 in his hometown Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. As the match is being set, here is an angle with which WWE can shock their fans with CM Punk at Clash at the Castle 2024.
CM Punk could help Drew McIntyre win the World title at Clash at the Castle 2024
On the May 6, 2024 episode of Raw, CM Punk popped out moments after Drew McIntyre left the arena. Punk then cut a promo and ended with saying, “If you make me go to Glasgow, Scotland, I’m gonna be hiding in a bowl of haggis. I’m gonna pop out and I’m gonna break your face.”
McIntyre replied to him saying, “I heard what you said. If you actually turn up to Glasgow, you’re not going to leave in one piece.”
This tease would make Drew aware that Punk could show up at Clash at the Castle to cost his match. However, Drew McIntyre vowed to give Punk a world title shot after he wins the title.
Drew said, “When I win the title, I’ll offer him a title match. His ego is so big, he will say ‘yes’ to the title match. Social media will freak out. Tickets will fly. There will be a buzz you’ve never seen. Punk and I will be in this ring. Eye-to-eye with each other. The bell will ring, and then I’ll embarrass him worse than be embarrassed himself in the UFC. And we’ll move on.”
Drew’s offer could make Punk revise his move and help McIntyre win the title. Punk helping Drew to win could not only shock Drew, but also the entire WWE universe. Although this seems to be dramatic, this could benefit Punk, as he is about to be cleared for in-ring action and could have his title shot directly without a fight. Punk could eventually end his rivalry with Drew and conquer his championship dream in the same match.
This could also benefit the reigning champion Damian Priest, as he can handle Judgment Day business without the title. Things within The Judgment Day are becoming complex day-by-day with Rhea Ripley being ruled out. He could try to fix things with the ongoing storyline, leaving the title behind. He can anytime claim a championship rematch after fixing Judgment Day problems, saying that he never lost the title clean.
