WWE Raw is moving to Netflix next month

The Stamford-based promotion is gearing up for the debut show of Monday Night Raw on the streaming giant Netflix. The change will come into effect with its highly anticipated debut show, taking place on January 6th, at the Intruit Dome in Los Angeles, California.

In addition to its regular programming, Netflix will become the exclusive platform for all WWE shows, PLEs, and specials outside the U.S. With the WWE Network shutting down on January 1, all its exclusive content will be moved to Netflix.

5. Goldberg

WCW legend, Bill Goldberg is officially set to retire from professional wrestling in 2025. His last WWE appearance was the Bad Blood 2024 PLE and recently the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that his official retirement match will take place in 2025.

Goldberg could make his return in the highly anticipated debut episode, capitalizing on the spotlight to challenge the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and settle their differences in the ring. The showdown could set up a retirement match between the two.

The feud between the two started at the Bad Blood PLE when the World Heavyweight Champion called out the Hall of Famer, who was in the audience and insulted his family. This provoked Goldberg to jump the barricade, though he was quickly stopped before things could get physical.

4. The Rock

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was last seen on WWE television in the final moments of Bad Blood 2024 PLE. Johnson appeared after Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns emerged victorious in the Bloodline Rules tag-team match against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

Since his last appearance, there has been a lot of speculation among fans about the return of the most electrifying superstar. The Rock might make an appearance to interfere in the tribal combat match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa revealing himself as the mastermind behind Sikoa’s Bloodline.

3. Randy Orton

‘The Viper’ Randy Orton last month suffered a severe injury when Kevin Owens landed the controversial pile driver move on him. Orton has been diagnosed with cervical cord neurapraxia due to the assault by Owens.

The Viper could make a shocking return in the debut episode of WWE Raw to confront Kevin Owens. If WWE books a match between Cody Rhodes and Owens, an interference from Randy Orton seeking revenge would create huge excitement and buzz.

2. Cody Rhodes

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has been out of action since his last title defense at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.

Rhodes emerged victorious in the main event, but Owens launched a brutal assault on him afterward, delivering a devastating package piledriver. The attack caused severe injury to the champion and he was stretchered out of the arena following the vicious attack.

Rhodes can make his return on the debut episode and challenge Owens to a grudge match, the American Nightmare can also cut a promo before the debut show challenging Owens to a match on January 6.

1. Becky Lynch

The seven-time WWE Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch has been missed by WWE fans around the world. The Man has been absent from WWE programming since May this year. Lynch’s contract with the WWE expired in June and she has been enjoying life away from the spotlight.

However, as per recent reports, Lynch is close to an agreement with the WWE and can make her return in the debut episode of Raw on Netflix. The return of a star like Becky could revamp the women’s division setting up new feuds, intriguing storylines, and matches.

The Stamford-based promotion has announced three exciting matches for the debut episode. Liv Morgan will defend her Women’s World Title against Rhea Ripley, while CM Punk and Seth Rollins will clash in a heated grudge match.

Additionally, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will face off in a Tribal Combat match, with the sacred Ula Fala on the line.
