Is Nick Khan leaving WWE? Everything we know so far
Nick Khan is an American Business Executive and former talent agent. He has been in WWE since 2020 taking responsibility as the President and Chief Revenue Officer of WWE. In 2022, Khan was appointed as one of the Co-CEOs with Stephanie McMahon, but after Steph resigned, he became the sole CEO of the company.
After WWE got merged with Endeavor to form TKO Group, Nick was re-appointed as the President of WWE again and as one of the TKO Board of Directors. As Vince McMahon has resigned from his positions, Nick Khan became the sole control of the company and has been involved in making important decisions of the company. However there is a talk backstage that Nick Khan is leaving WWE. Here is everything we know so far.
Nick Khan’s TKO shares being listed
It was reported earlier this week that Tony Khan has listed all his TKO shares. However Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reported that Nick Khan and Vince McMahon’s share has been listed since September 2023. However, the sudden attention is causing confusion. There aren’t any records of Nick selling his shares yet.
Thurston said,
“I don’t at all see Nick Khan listing all his shares for sale as some kind of omen, despite flailing online about it. All of his shares as well as all of Vince McMahon’s shares have been listed since September. Suddenly attention is being paid for confused reasons. Vince has made sales; there are no records of Nick making sales yet (which would be required due to him being a board member).
Nick Khan leaving WWE?
There has been a rumor that Nick Khan has been leaving WWE, however Nick Khan has signed a 5-year employment contract with WWE, which expires in August 2025. Similar to his TKO stock, his employment contract also promises him to have equity of millions of dollars. In which some of them are already vested, however $16.5M of those won’t vest until September 2025.
It is said that Nick’s some of his compensation is paid in stock. He added that if Khan sells all his shares as soon as possible, he would still have a significant and direct financial interest in the TKO shares due to performance compensation and millions of shares, until his employment term expires.
Nick’s relation to Janel Grant’s case
Questions may be raised about Nick Khan’s knowledge about Vince McMahon & Janel Grant’s case. There is a part where Grant mentioned Nick Khan as “WWE Corporate Officer No.1”, however it seems like it doesn’t gonna affect his future with WWE.
