Rumours of WrestleMania 43 moving to Las Vegas addressed

Speculation regarding the mega PLE moving from Saudi Arabia grew strong due to the ongoing issues related to the upcoming PLE and the security in the region. Las Vegas, the site of WrestleMania 41 and 42 that were held at Allegiant Stadium in 2025 and 2026 respectively, was considered a potential venue for the event due to its experience in hosting WWE shows and existing infrastructure.
Nevertheless, The Sphere was also considered as a possible backup venue. However, according to new information, there is no evidence that the company plans to utilize the venue for the 43rd edition of the two-night event. The first challenge in using The Sphere is the availability of the venue, as the arena already has its events scheduled for the PLE date.
According to Fightful, John Mayer performances will be held at The Sphere on April 10 and 11, 2027 – the internally planned dates. Moreover, Oprah Winfrey will perform at the venue between April 2 and 4.
Interestingly, former GM Eric Bischoff discussed it on the latest episode of 83 Weeks after co-host Conrad Thompson raised the idea. He added that the firm needs to have a backup. And with still time to the event, there is again a chance for a different venue.
“It makes all the sense in the world, so much so that it’d be hard for me to believe that that’s not happening as we speak. It’s too easy. It’s just too easy and too smart, and it’s certainly not a less than because you’re going to get a whole different vibe. So, very freaking cool.”
Authorities officially announced in September 2025 that Riyadh would host WrestleMania 43, marking the first time the showcase event is scheduled to take place outside North America. So far, the event remains planned for Saudi Arabia, although the exact dates have not yet been officially announced by the company.
How much is Riyadh paying WWE for WrestleMania 43?
Money matters are yet another factor when it comes to WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia. According to reports, WWE may get about $150 million from hosting the event in Riyadh.
The sum of money was mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio and reported on by Wrestling Inc. on October 21st. The sum is not yet officially confirmed by either party.
According to Meltzer, the reported fee for the biggest PLE is much bigger than the typical $55 million WWE gets for hosting its shows in Saudi Arabia. The estimated sum, if confirmed, will make the agreement extremely profitable for the promotion.
The Stamford-based promotion started collaborating with Saudi Arabia back in 2018, and since then, the collaboration has been developing in events such as Crown Jewel, Royal Rumble, and Night of Champions.
