Potential spoiler on Bayley's AEW move amid WWE absence since SNME

Bayley’s future remains uncertain as speculation continues.
‘The Role Model’ Bayley has been absent from WWE Programming since her match against Lyra Valkyria on the July 18 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden. With reports of her current contract expiring before the end of 2026, speculation has been rampant about her next move.
While WWE remains interested in retaining the former Women’s Champion, no contract extension has reportedly been signed yet. A move to AEW has also been a hot topic among fans, especially with the Role Model herself teasing the move.
Amid uncertainty, Dave Meltzer, in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, spoke about the Role Model’s future.
Bayley might remain with WWE

Meltzer speculated that Bayley could re-sign with WWE rather than enter free agency. He pointed to the fact that she has been mentioned several times on episodes of Monday Night Raw since her match with Valkyria.
According to Meltzer, WWE likely would not continue acknowledging Bayley or mentioning her by name if officials did not believe she would remain with the company.
That said, Bayley’s friend and former WWE star Sasha Banks (aka Mercedes Mone in AEW) and many fans alike have called for the Role Model to sign with AEW.
The Role Model herself added fuel to the fire when she posted a video on her IG. The Video showed her training alongside several wrestlers, including AJ Lee and AEW star Mercedes Moné. She captioned the post, “all or nothing, baby,” while using The Grouch & Eligh’s song “All In” as the soundtrack.
The choice of soundtrack immediately caught the attention of wrestling fans because “All In” is closely associated with AEW and its biggest annual pay-per-view, and is currently set to air next weekend in London.
A report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful noted that her social media post “did not land well with everyone” within WWE. As of now, Bayley’s future remains uncertain as fans wait for the next update.
Is Bayley joining AEW?
There is no clairty if she is joining AEW or signing an extension with WWE. That said, Observer’s Meltzer speculated that the Role Model could re-sign with WWE rather than enter free agency. He pointed to the fact that she has been mentioned several times on episodes of Monday Night Raw since her match with Valkyria.
When is her WWE contract set to expire?
Her contract is reportedly expected to expire in late 2026, around the fourth quarter. Additionally, Observer’s Bryan Alvarez has speculated that her deal actually expires in January 2027.
