The 10/25 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the Barclays Center

WWE is all set up for the October 25, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown that will be aired live from the the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA. This is the second last episode of the blue brand before the Crown Jewel 2024 PLE.

The 10/25 episode will feature many WWE stars including Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Bianca Belair, and many more. Ahead of the WWE SmackDown event in South Carolina let us take a look at the top four predictions for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

4. Randy Orton could leave WWE for AEW

‘The Viper’ Randy Orton is involved in a feud with former friend Kevin Owens after the two got into an in-ring altercation which subsequently led to Owens attacking Orton backstage.

In last week’s episode of the blue brand, The Viper demanded a match against Owens at Crown Jewel PLE. However, SmackDown’s GM Nick Aldis shut down the idea stating that he couldn’t book the match as the decision came from people above.

This statement led to Orton suggesting that he knew who to talk to. Orton might be suggesting to consult WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H. This week’s episode might include a segment involving Triple H and Orton. While it is unclear what Triple H’s reaction would be, there is a possibility that Orton might threaten to jump ship to rival brand AEW if he does not get a match against Owens.

3. MCMG picks up their second win

Motor City Machine Guns made their debut on the last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The debuting team faced Los Garza and A Town Down Under in a triple-threat match. MCMG won in their debut to advance in the Tag Team Championship contenders tournament.

MCMG are now scheduled to face the team of Johnny Gargano and Ciampa (DIY), the winner will challenge the current WWE Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa of The Bloodline

There is a possibility that WWE might give the former TNA stars a big push as their debut was done amid much fanfare. A loss against DIY could hinder their momentum while a win could set up a fascinating match against The Bloodline.

2. Cody Rhodes & Gunther’s faceoff might end in a brawl

Ahead of their clash at Crown Jewel 2024 in Saudi Arabia, Rhodes invited Gunther for a face-off on this week’s episode of the blue brand. The WWE Heavyweight Champion discussed the callout on this week’s episode of Raw and confirmed that he will be in Brooklyn on Friday.

There is a lot of anticipation among fans that the champion vs champion face-off would lead to verbal warfare on the mic. However, there is a chance that things might get personal between the two and they start a brawl in the ring. Gunther has also criticized Rhodes for mentioning his daughter during his address on last week’s episode of SmackDown stating that he doesn’t understand ‘why Rhodes brings people closet to him in his business matters.’

1. Roman Reigns may join forces with Jey Uso & MCMG

The former Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso lost his fight against Bron Breakker on this week’s episode of Raw. The loss came due to interference from Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline as they made an appearance on the red brand.

On the other hand, ‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso were brutalized once again by Solo Sikoa and company during last week’s episode. These recent events might lead Jey to appear on the blue brand and join forces with the OG Bloodline to take on The Bloodline 2.0.

Reigns and Co. might also be joined by the former TNA stars, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin (MCMG) as the tag team could win their second match in the promotion to bag the #1 contender spot for the WWE Tag Team Championship which is currently being held by Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa of The Bloodline faction.
