The OTC was advertised for the June editions of WWE Raw.

World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns was being advertised for Monday Night Raw throughout May and June. However, Reigns was recently removed from the promotional posters and advertisements on WWE‘s website for the June episode of the Red brand.

This created confusion among fans as the OTC was initially promoted for all four WWE Raw episodes during the European tour.

  • June 1st – Turin, Italy
  • June 8th – Paris, France
  • June 15th – Baltimore, MD
  • June 22nd – London, England

While Roman Reigns is still advertised for May episodes, his removal from June editions has sparked speculation. A new report from Dave Meltzer in Sunday’s Daily Update has now revealed the reason behind the decision.

Roman Reigns is not scheduled for WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia

According to Meltzer, Roman Reigns was pulled from those Monday Night Raw dates because he isn’t scheduled to appear for WWE’s upcoming premium live event, Night of Champions, and there is no reason to appear on shows building towards the event.

He also added that if Reigns loses his title soon, plans could change, but if he retains, his absence is simply due to not being part of that event.

“Regarding Roman Reigns being pulled from June TV dates that were announced, the reason we were told is that he’s not going to be on the Saudi Arabia PPV and thus there was no reason to do the TV’s building that show,

If he loses the title next week, of course that would be a change and there will be more to the story. If he retains, that’s probably all it is. But Reigns is no longer scheduled for any television in June.“

The 2026 edition of the PLE is set to take place in Saudi Arabia on June 27 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. WWE is actively monitoring the situation in the Middle East and will make the trip if it’s safe to travel, according to WWE President Nick Khan.

The OTC is currently gearing up to defend the World Heavyweight title against Jacob Fatu at the upcoming edition of Backlash on May 9 at the Benchmark Arena in Tampa, Florida. The two stars are set to sign the contract tonight on Monday Night Raw.

The feud has seen the involvement of Bloodline members, including the Usos and Solo Sikoa, who made it clear that Roman is not his Tribal Chief, while the Usos continue to do Reigns’ bidding. Fans will now have to wait until Saturday to find out if a new World Heavyweight Champion is crowned or will the OTC continue his reign.

Why was Roman Reigns removed from Raw dates in June?

Per Meltzer, Roman was pulled from those Monday Night Raw dates because he isn’t scheduled to appear for Night of Champions.

When and where will Backlash 2026 take place?

The 2026 edition of Backlash will take place on May 9 at the Benchmark Arena in Tampa, Florida.
