The foundation of the rise of Roman Reigns was laid at the WWE Survivor Series event, making it an important landmark in his illustrious career. From a spectacular debut to winning his first-ever World Championship at the event, Survivor Series has a special place in Roman Reigns’ career.

10. The Shield’s Debut (2012)

WWE Survivor Series 2012 will always remain etched in the memory of the WWE Universe for the debut of The Shield. The trio of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins showed up amidst a huge triple-threat match for the WWE title. ‘The Hounds of Justice’ destroyed the field and left a huge first impression, setting the tone for the rise of three future main eventers.

9. Champion vs Champion (2020)

During the start of Roman Reigns’ impressive run as the longest reigning World Champion on SmackDown, he squared off against RAW’s WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at WWE Survivor Series 2020. The two behemoths went toe-to-toe for brand supremacy and ended with Reigns making McIntyre to the Guillotine to score the win for his roster.

8. Mid-Air Spear (2016)

During the traditional 5-on-5 WWE Survivor Series elimination match in 2016, Roman Reigns from Team RAW created a memorable moment at the expense of Shane McMahon from Team SmackDown. As Shane was about to execute a coast-to-coast, Reigns countered it with a mid-air spear, becoming a monumental moment in his career at the event.

7. Champion vs Champion (2021)

Following his win in 2020, Roman Reigns once again represented SmackDown as the top champion. This time, he squared off against the WWE Champion, Big E. However, much like the previous year, The Tribal Chief outlasted Big E despite his valiant effort to once again emerge victorious in the Champion vs Champion match.

6. Most Eliminations (2013)

The debut performance of Roman Reigns at WWE Survivor Series 2013 was the first time fans took notice of the then-Big Dog. Being a part of the traditional 5-on-5 Elimination match, Reigns outlasted four competitors on his own. Furthermore, he scored the final pinfall over Rey Mysterio to win the match and be the sole survivor for his team.

5. One-off Shield Reunion (2016)

At the WWE Survivor Series 2016 event, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were a part of Team RAW, while Dean Ambrose was on SmackDown Live’s side in the traditional 5-on-5 Elimination match. Despite being on opposite sides, a moment triggered a brief reunion of The Shield as the trio dropped AJ Styles with a triple Powerbomb on the announcer’s desk in a memorable moment for Reigns’ career.

4. Sole Survivor (2019)

Roman Reigns scored his second win as the sole survivor in the traditional 5-on-5 Elimination match at WWE Survivor Series 2019. Representing SmackDown, the match came down to him and NXT’s Keith Lee, who imposed his raw power and strength on the Big Dog. However, it was a timely spear that put down Lee for the three count and gave Reigns the win for his team.

3. The Shield’s victory (2017)

The Shield’s sole performance as a trio representing SmackDown came at WWE Survivor Series 2017 against The New Day representing RAW. The dominant factions delivered a stellar showdown for the fans and ended in The Shield’s win as the trio landed a huge Triple Powerbomb from the top of the turnbuckle on Kofi Kingston and Dean Ambrose, pinning him for the victory.

2. Bloodline Reigns Supreme (2022)

The 2022 WWE Survivor Series event saw Roman Reigns competing alongside his Bloodline against Team Brawling Brutes inside WarGames. Reigns’ team etched the win as Sami Zayn proved his allegiance to The Bloodline and knocked down Kevin Owens to score the win for them.

1. First World Title Win (2015)

The most memorable WWE Survivor Series event for Roman Reigns would surely be the 2015 edition. Reigns battled his friend, Dean Ambrose, for the vacant WWE Championship. Following a huge back-and-forth encounter, Reigns delivered a thunderous spear on Ambrose to win his first-ever World Championship. However, his celebrations lasted only 5:15 as Sheamus cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to snatch the title from him.
