Vidyut Jammwal catches up with Roman Reigns during Street Fighter promotions.
WWE wrapped up Money in the Bank 2026 PLE with huge viewership and fan support. Roman Reigns was one of the participants at the event as he defended his World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight in the opening match of the PLE.
Although fans showed mixed responses to the outcome of the match, the OTC undoubtedly remained one of the biggest names in the business. Outside of the WWE, he is currently promoting his Street Fighter movie, which releases on October 16.
Bollywood action star Vidyut Jammwal is also part of the star-studded cast and recently shared a memorable interaction with Reigns, bringing some good news for fans in India. Their connection also has a Hollywood angle, with both stars featuring in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Street Fighter.

Vidyut Jammwal keeps his ‘Roman Reigns’ promise to Indian fans
While the Head of the Table has established himself as one of WWE’s biggest global attractions, Jammwal has earned recognition for his action performances and expertise in the Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu. Stars like Cody Rhodes lauded his fitness and look as they worked together in the Street Fighter movie.
During recent promotions, the Bollywood star interacted with the WWE champion. The highlight of the interaction was Jammwal’s invitation to Reigns to return to India. The actor explained that he had promised people back home that he would convey their request to the WWE superstar.
“We have invited him (Reigns) to India,” Jammwal said in the video.
Reigns responded warmly, acknowledging the massive support he has received from Indian fans over the years.
“It’s been too long but hopefully we will be back soon. I love everybody in India and thank you for all the support. Vidyut here… He is the man.”
The exchange was particularly meaningful because Reigns did not simply acknowledge the invitation; he also directly addressed the Indian audience. However, his response is not a confirmation of an upcoming WWE appearance or a scheduled visit to the country.
Jammwal subsequently highlighted the significance of the interaction, writing that Reigns’ gracious response made the moment even more special. His message, “A promise kept,” captured the personal connection behind the invitation.
When did Roman Reigns last visit India?

Reigns’ latest message carries added significance because his last public visit to India was in 2017, for the WWE Live India Supershow in New Delhi. WWE subsequently held Superstar Spectacle in Hyderabad in September 2023, but Reigns was not part of that event.
His return would therefore be a major attraction for Indian wrestling fans, many of whom have followed his rise from a member of The Shield to one of WWE’s defining main-event stars.
For now, Indian fans have a reason to be hopeful, but not a confirmed date to mark on their calendars. Reigns’ response expressed a desire to return, while Jammwal’s invitation has brought the possibility back into the conversation.
On the work front, the megastar has a very busy schedule with the Stanford-based promotion and has also advertised for a champion-vs-champion matchup at the upcoming Premium Live Event, Crown Jewel 2026. Rumors also hint at his possible match against Oba Femi at WrestleMania 43, although dates and venue are not confirmed for the PLE.
