Tonight’s show in New Orleans carries huge anticipation among fans
The 02/21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown has created huge anticipation among WWE fans following the news of a triple threat match featuring Cody Rhodes, Braun Strowman and Damian Priest who are set to battle Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.
The show also features the electrifying return of The Rock which has made fans very eager to witness what the WWE has in store tonight in the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisana. Ahead of the show tonight, here are the top five storylines that fans need to watch out for.
5. Tag title defense
WWE Tag Team Champions Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano(DIY) are set to defend the tag title tonight against Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince). This came after Wilson and Prince defeated the tag champions in a non-title match to become the number one contenders.
This is a huge opportunity for Wilson and Prince to prove their worth and capture the title. However, a huge shadow of the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) looms over the match as they will likely interfere in the match.

4. US title rematch
On last week’s episode, LA Knight and The Miz both staked their claim to be the next challenger for the United States title which is currently held by Shinsuke Nakamura. While Knight has a history with Nakamura, Miz wanted the shot to regain his position at the top.
Knight and Miz battled to decide the next challenger where Knight was able to pick up the win as he warned the US Champion. Knight will likely demand a rematch as their earlier encounters have been marred by interference.
3. Cody Rhodes – Solo Sikoa
Solo Sikoa made his return two weeks ago and ambushed the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The attack made it clear that Solo has set his sights on the champion, Rhodes also retaliated by attacking Sikoa last week where he was interfering in the Elimination Chamber Qualifying match between Damian Priest, Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu.
The feud between the two stars will likely intensify setting up a clash at the grandest stage in April. The addition of the rift between Jacob Fatu and Sikoa is also an interesting aspect for fans.

2. Jacob Fatu demands answers
Jacob Fatu in last week’s episode looked eager to get some answers from Solo Sikoa who vanished leaving Fatu and Tama Tonga behind after his loss against Roman Reigns in the tribal combat match. While Solo didn’t provide any solid reason he assured Fatu and Tonga which seemed to calm Fatu down.
However, things escalated once again as in the final moments Solo accidentally took out Tonga instead of Cody Rhodes. Sikoa’s interference initially led to Fatu taking control in the triple threat match, the brawl cost Fatu the match and he would likely be looking for answers from Sikoa.
1. The Rock returns
Ahead of tonight’s show in New Orleans, it was announced that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will be making a return. The news instantly went viral with fans speculating what Johnson would do in his return, especially after seemingly hashing the beef with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
While there are speculations and rumors one thing is for sure the return would be as electrifying as ever with Johnson himself promising that he is coming to ‘handle business’ and ‘f*ck up a certain someone’s life’, this tease has left fans wondering of what his next step might be.
Who do you The Rock is hinting towards in his return tonight? Can Pretty Deadly triumph over DIY? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
