Some big matches have already been announced for the upcoming PLE
The match card for the next month’s Crown Jewel PLE is going along nicely with the top champions from both RAW and SmackDown slated to lock horns. Additionally, Saudi Arabia could see many other rivalries come to a head on its soil.
But what about the unexpected returns? Which superstar is due a comeback? Join us now as we look at the top five surprise appearances we could see at WWE Crown Jewel 2024.
5. Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre has not been seen on WWE programming after his blood-filled Hell in a Cell clash at the Bad Blood PLE earlier this month. Now, with his fierce rival, CM Punk, in the rearview, the Scottish Warrior will be looking to fulfil his long-last dream of becoming the world champion again. That desire could tempt McIntyre to interfere in the main event match-up between Cody Rhodes and Gunther at the Crown Jewel event next month.
The former WWE champion could make a statement by attacking The Ring General and, in the process, hand Rhodes a victory over his masterful opponent. This could be a win-win situation for both McIntyre and WWE, as he could contend for his beloved title without any interruptions; at the same time, the Stamford-based promotion can protect its two main eventers.
4. Logan Paul
Logan Paul has always thrived in the Saudi-based WWE PLEs, be it his monumental fight against Roman Reigns in the 2022 Crown Jewel or his first US title victory against Rey Mysterio last year. It feels odd that Paul has not been announced in any capacity for the next month’s event.
Could it be because of his busy schedule, or is Triple H keeping an ace up his sleeve by keeping The Maverick’s appearance in Saudi Arabia under wraps? If the Impaulsive podcast host does return at the Crown Jewel PLE, it could be in the US title picture, targeting the current champion, LA Knight, with whom he still has a score to settle.

3. Alexa Bliss
Almost twenty-one months have passed since Alexa Bliss competed in a WWE ring in the 2023 Royal Rumble PLE. While speculations have been rife over a potential return for the former women’s champion, nothing seems to have materialized.
The WWE women’s champion match against the women’s world champion at next month’s Crown Jewel could be the perfect opportunity for Ms. Bliss to finally return to the wrestling juggernaut with a bang. A return for Bray Wyatt‘s former associate would surely be in the pursuit of the women’s championship. What better way to announce your intentions than interrupting a match between the women’s champions of both the red brand and the blue brand?
2. CM Punk
There is no word with regards to a return date for CM Punk after he gingerly appeared in the RAW episode after Bad Blood to address his fans. Moreover, the Second City Saint has not yet featured in a Saudi event after his 2023 return.
This trend looks set to continue unless Punk does show up at Crown Jewel PLE next month to play a spoilsport in Cody Rhodes‘ match against Gunther. It’s safe to say that there are many contenders to The Austrian’s throne; he would do well to come out unscathed on 2nd November.

1. The Rock
While an appearance for The Rock for Survivor Series WarGames PLE at the end of November feels inevitable. The Final Boss could cause a frenzy in the Middle East by showing up at the Crown Jewel PLE. At this time, the Bloodline does not feature on the Saudi match card, but the civil war spilling outside the country remains a possibility. If the familial feud does find its way to the Crown Jewel PLE, an appearance by The Rock could be on the cards.
Any of these wrestlers returning at Crown Jewel could warrant a huge pop from the crowd; let’s wait and see if any of these returns materialize.
