The 01/03 episode of the Blue Brand will emanate from Phoenix
The first episode of Friday Night SmackDown in 2025 will be a three-hour show, marking the transition of the Blue brand to a three-hour format. The 01/03 episode of the Blue brand will emanate from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
This week’s episode carries major anticipation among fans as Monday Night Raw’s Netflix debut approaches. Multiple top stars are advertised for the show including, WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax, United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, and more.
Ahead of the show, let’s explore five potential surprises that could be in store for fans in Phoenix, Arizona.
5. Jade Cargill returns
One-half of Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill has been absent from WWE programming since late November 2024. Cargill was attacked backstage and left unconscious on a broken windshield of a car. Noami has since replaced Cargill and has joined Bianca Belair as the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
There is a possibility of Cargill returning on the first episode of the Blue brand in 2025 and confronting her assailant. The promotion has not revealed who was behind the attack in November. Cargill recently posted a horrifying image where she was covered from head to toe in what seemed like blood.
According to recent reports, Cargill was enjoying the holidays with her family in Hawaii, The eerie post might be a message to Cargill’s assailant and she might return on this week’s episode.

4. Street Profits demand a title shot
On last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Apollo Crews revealed that Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano (DIY) were the ones who ambushed Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins (Street Profits). This assault forced them out of the tag title match against the then-tag champion Motor City Machine Guns.
DIY replaced the Street Profits and were able to win the tag title after turning heel and landing a low blow. Ford and Dawkins would probably confront the tag champions, while there is a high possibility of a brawl breaking out between the two teams.
Ford and Dawkins might also demand a title shot against DIY as they were robbed of their shot earlier due to the attack by Ciampa and Gargano.

3. LA Knight attacks Shinsuke Nakamura
United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura is scheduled to clash with Andrade in a non-title match. This match was booked after Andrade challenged the US Champion in a video package last week.
Former US Champion LA Knight might look to exact his revenge on Nakamura during the match tonight as Nakamura recently ambushed Knight during the six-man tag match against The Bloodline. Knight is also looking for a rematch against Nakamura as he wants to reclaim the US title.
2. Roman Reigns responds
Solo Sikoa‘s Bloodline ambushed Sami Zayna and Jey Uso on last week’s episode of the Blue brand. Before taking out Zayn with a Samoan spike, Siko sent a message to Roman Reigns ahead of their clash next week on the debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.
Reigns will likely respond to the threat by cutting a promo for the upcoming tribal combat match where the Ula Fala is on the line. If Reigns decides to show up in Phoenix he will likely be ambushed by Sikoa’s Bloodline who would look to inflict damage before the showdown on the debut show.
1. Tiffany Stratton cashes in
Tiffany Stratton has been shunned and ostracized in recent times by WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. Jax has been teaming up with LeRae to criticize Stratton on every little event, Stratton has already tussled with the idea of cashing in her MITB contract on her friend Jax.
Stratton might decide that she has dealt with enough and choose to cash in the contract against Jax on the 01/03 show. Jax is making her title defense against Noami on tonight’s show, Tiffany might use this opportunity to cash in and fulfill her dream of becoming the WWE Women’s Champion.
What are your expectations from the first three-hour episode of the Blue brand? How will Roman Reigns respond after last week’s assault? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
