Triple H revealed the new WWE King and Queen of the Ring poster on May 6th

Following Triple H’s announcement, the new WWE King and Queen of the Ring poster has been revealed and it is rumoured to be based on a popular Marvel film poster.

WWE’s King & Queen of the Ring event will take place on Saturday, May 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The show will include the finals of both the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

Before the tournament began on May 6th on WWE Raw, Triple H resorted to social media to reveal the new poster for the WWE King and Queen of the Ring event. He wrote:

“An opportunity for Superstars take their thrones, defend championship gold, and deliver a massive spectacle in Jeddah.

“WWEKingAndQueen of the Ring streams live on May 25 at a special start time of 12pm ET @peacock”

The poster is based off the movie poster for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther film that was released in 2018. You can see the two posters side-by-side in this tweet from Twitter/X user Kristen Ashly up above.

Here are some rumored matches for WWE King and Queen of the Ring

Before telling about the rumored matches, two matches were confirmed on the latest edition of RAW. The matches are:

  • Women’s World Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan
  • WWE Intercontinental title: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bronson Reed and Chad Gable

Some rumored matches for WWE King and Queen of the Ring are

  • World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso vs. Damian Priest (c)
  • Randy Orton and Kevin Owens vs. Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga

World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso vs. Damian Priest (c)

If The Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh and Finn Balor had not interfered, Jey Uso may have won the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash on Saturday. The second-generation star had Damian Priest reeling and could have won the crown if not for The Archer of Infamy’s colleagues throwing him off at every step. With Priest aiming to win matches on his own, and general manager Adam Pearce probably looking to encourage fair championship matches

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens vs. Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens‘ pursuit of victory against The Bloodline came to an end Saturday with the appearance of Tanga Loa. The former Guerilla of Destiny in New Japan Pro-Wrestling has joined his brother, Tama Tonga, and Solo Sikoa as the newest member of the rebuilt Bloodline, pointing his finger in the air to acknowledge his place in the family.

The Street Fight’s conclusion hints that The Viper, The Prizefighter, and The Bloodline still have unfinished business. With key stars involved in other events, continuing the plot in Jeddah, with Orton and Owens confronting the brothers in a tag team battle, seems like a good way to keep the drama in the spotlight.
