Team Vision emerged victorious in the main event.

The 39th Survivor Series emanated on November 29, 2025, at Petco Park in San Diego, California. The main event featured the men’s WarGames match, where multiple World champions (former & current), including CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, and others.

The team of CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), and Roman Reigns battled the team led by Paul Heyman, which consists of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar.

The match continued as planned, and the five men from each made their appearances, after which the cage door was shut, and the bell rang. Initially, the babyfaces were on the back foot, but they managed to fight back.

Punk took out Lesnar with a GTS, and just when it looked like another victory for the babyfaces a masked man climbed the cage and jumped in, hitting Punk with a Superkick followed by a Stomp, before leaving the cage.

The attack gave the heels the advantage, allowing Breakker to deliver a massive spear, pin Punk, and secure the win for his team at the 2025 edition. Fans have since been speculating about the identity of the masked man. Read on to learn more.

Theories circulating on social media among fans mostly point to Austin Theory as the masked man. Theory has been absent from the WWE programming since July. There were reports of his involvement in the men’s WarGames match in the Vision’s team. However, WWE changed course after Seth Rollins’ injury.

Nevertheless, PWInsider reported before the show that Theory was backstage and that the plan was for him to get involved in disguise.

Despite the masked man hitting the curb stomp, a move associated with Seth Rollins, fans were quick to point out the size difference between the masked man and Rollins. From a practical standpoint, Theory is athletic enough to scale the cage swiftly, execute the moves in the ring, and exit without missing a beat.

Additionally, PWInsider has reported after the show that Austin Theory was the mystery figure who assisted The Vision at Survivor Series. He was kept hidden backstage throughout the day until his surprise appearance inside the WarGames match.

It looks like Thoery will be joining the Vision faction that has been reduced to only two members since Rollins’ exit.
