Drew McIntyre is stuck in England!

‘The Scottish Psycopath’ Drew McIntyre has nearly derailed WWE’s SummerSlam 2025 card after running into a bizarre passport issue this past weekend.

The Scottish Warrior was barred from boarding a flight back to the United States after a wedding trip to England, leaving fans and WWE officials wondering if he’d miss one of the event’s most hyped matches.

McIntyre is scheduled to team with Logan Paul against Randy Orton and Grammy-nominated artist Jelly Roll at SummerSlam 2025. But after posting a video from a remote field in England, many are fearing the worst.

“I can’t get back in America. They wouldn’t let me board my flight,” McIntyre said. “Look at the scenic countryside. Does that look like an American scenic countryside? No, I’m in England.”

WWE officials remain confident

Thankfully, a new update offers some hope. According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE sources are optimistic that the situation will be sorted in time for SummerSlam.

“WWE sources we spoke to feel confident it will be rectified, although they obviously weren’t pleased that McIntyre is going through the situation,” the report noted.

Drew McIntyre, who lives in Nashville and has been a U.S. resident for years, was reportedly stunned by the situation. It’s unclear what identification issue led to the denial, but officials seem to believe he’ll be cleared for travel within days.

The potential fallout if Drew McIntyre misses the show

If McIntyre can’t make it to New Jersey in time, WWE would be forced to name a replacement, possibly on the go-home episode of SmackDown. Names like The Miz, Carmelo Hayes, and Grayson Waller have all been speculated by fans.

But with McIntyre still officially listed for the match, WWE appears to be holding off on any changes unless absolutely necessary.

It’s WWE, after all, so fans can’t help but wonder if this drama is part of a larger storyline. McIntyre even jokingly blamed Jelly Roll for his travel problems in an earlier video, accusing the country star of “pulling some strings” to keep him stuck in England. Regardless of whether it’s real or not, the situation has generated a surge of buzz ahead of SummerSlam.

Is Drew McIntyre really stuck in England?

Yes, McIntyre posted a video from the English countryside and explained he couldn’t board his flight due to ID issues.

Will WWE replace McIntyre in the SummerSlam tag match?

No, as of now WWE officials believe the issue will be resolved, and they are optimistic he’ll appear.

Is this a storyline or a real issue?

The ID problem appears legitimate, but McIntyre has added playful jabs, blurring the lines between reality and fiction.
