The Rock upset over WrestleMania leaks
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, The Rock was upset over upset over the leaked news that he will not be wrestling at WrestleMania 41. Earlier reports suggested that the Rock was not planned for WrestleMania 41 has irked the megastar.
“It would have been November, December when everybody started reporting it and I kind of heard, ‘Oh my God, Dwayne’s mad that everybody’s reporting it. He doesn’t want this out.’ And one person said, ‘I bet he does the show now because he’s so mad that’s everyone’s reporting it.’ I mean, if he’s too busy and he’s got other projects he’s not going to be able to do it. My gut on him is if he didn’t have other projects, he’d do it. The guy loves pro wrestling,” Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.
The Rock’s last appearance was on the historic debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix and quashed his beef with Cody Rhodes and also celebrated Roman Reigns’ win in the tribal combat match over Solo Sikoa.
Alexa Bliss’ new deal
Despite numerous reports suggesting that the contract negotiation between Alexa Bliss and the WWE is in limbo. Bliss made her highly anticipated return after almost two years of absence as she entered the Women’s Royal Rumble match at number 21.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Alexa Bliss’ new contract with the Stamford-based promotion is for five years.
Update on Drew McIntyre’s outburst
According to Fightful Select, Drew McIntyre was initially scheduled to be eliminated by Damian Priest before Logan Paul made his entrance at the Royal Rumble.
However, the elimination took place after Paul entered and Paul was working with LA Knight when McIntyre, Priest, and Jey Uso set up their spot, which led to McIntyre’s frustration.
Furthermore, PW Insider Elite reported that the delay in McIntyre’s elimination was caused by multiple Knight sequences, including his face-off with Roman Reigns. Sources close to Insider suggest that the final straw for McIntyre was when Knight’s “errant movement” disrupted the drama and momentum of his elimination, making what was meant to be a key feud-starting moment come across in a “clunky manner.”
Bodyslam.net confirmed that there is no heat on him regarding the situation and despite the misstep, WWE officials have not placed any blame on LA Knight.
Nia Jax Royal Rumble eliminations
According to Fightful Select, ‘The Irresistible Force’ Nia Jax was supposed to have even more eliminations in the women’s Royal Rumble match than she did eventually. Although it’s unclear why plans changed, but speculation is that timing issues and the flow of the match dictated it.
Jax broke her tie with Shayna Baszler and Bianca Belair and eliminated a total of nine participants from the women’s Rumble match. This also helped her break the tie with Rhea Ripley for the combined eliminations in the Women’s Rumble match as Jax has eliminated a total of 29 participants.
WWE brass happy with Kevin Owens & IShowSpeed’s performances
According to PWInsider, the Stamford-based promotion “adored” working with IShowSpeed at the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE and Would be eager to work with him again in the future, potentially at WrestleMania 41.
PWInsider also reported that Kevin Owens received a lot of praise backstage at the Royal Rumble PLE for the punishment he took in the ladder match against Cody Rhodes. Owens was also praised for his efforts in planning and structuring the match.
