Update on recent WWE layoffs

During the last two days several superstars have been released by the WWE, the list includes former champion veterans and more. The string of releases has created a lot of buzz among fans with them wondering about the reason behind these layoffs.

According to Fightful Select, People within NXT feel that the recent releases are connected to a new group of call-ups being moved to the main roster in 2025. Letting go of these stars will free room on Raw and SmackDown for NXT call-ups that are expected within 2025.

LA Knight vs Drew McIntyre

Following the elimination of Drew McIntyre in the men’s Royal a commotion arose as reports suggested that McIntyre was furious with the elimination and he was blaming someone. It was later confirmed that LA Knight’s “errant movement” disrupted the drama and momentum of McIntyre’s elimination.

With this news, many thought a real feud between the two stars had taken shape and fans were even more concerned when Knight mentioned Drew’s comments about the botched Rumble elimination ahead of their triple threat match on last week’s SmackDown episode.

However, according to Fightful Select, McIntyre and Knight worked well together on Friday Night SmackDown. While the reports mentioned that things got a bit physical, but both men were “okay” and there were no issues after the match. McIntyre also had no problems with Knight‘s promo before the match.

Injured Wyatt Sicks member revealed

Following Wyatt Sicks’ transfer to Friday Night SmackDown from Monday Night Raw, many fans were excited to see the faction engage in new feuds and storylines. However, their hopes turned into anger when the faction did not made any appearance, it was later confirmed by Sean Ross of Fightful that the absence was due to one of the members being injured.

However, it was not revealed who the injured member of the Wyatt Sicks faction is. Mike Johnson of PWInsider recently hosted a Q&A session where he addressed various fan questions.

During the Q&A one fan inquired about Bo Dallas’ (Uncle Howdy) absence from The Wyatt Six’s photo op at the Royal Rumble 2025 PLE, asking why he wasn’t part of the group.

Johnson clarified that Bo Dallas was never planned to be at the photo op during the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, explaining that he is currently not on the road with the company. This seemingly confirms that Dallas is the injured member of the faction.
