The SNME build intensified on the October 24 show.
The October 24 episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona. Multiple stars, including Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Tiffany Stratton, Solo Sikoa, Jade Cargill, and Drew McIntyre, were advertised for the show.
The show intensified the build towards the November 1 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Jimmy Uso attacked Drew McIntyre during the opening moments of the show, when Cody Rhodes and McIntyre were locked in an on-mic battle.
In the first match of the show, MFT (JC Mateo & Tama Tonga) defeated Rey Fenix and Shinsuke Nakamura, after interferences from Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga. On the other hand, Tiffany Stratton defeated Kiana James in a singles match.
Stratton, who was ambushed by Giulia after the match, was initially saved by Jade Cargill, who then turned heel for the first time and attacked Stratton out of nowhere. The beatdown continued until security rushed in to get some separation.
Ilja Dragunov successfully outlasted Aleister Black to retain the WWE US Title in the ongoing open challenge, despite interference from Zelina Vega. After the match, Damian Priest attacked Black, who was saved by Vega as they managed to escape through the crowd.
Drew McIntyre and Jimmy Uso battled in a no-disqualification match in the main event of the show. McIntyre picked up the win and continued to further punish Jimmy Uso, when Cody Rhodes appeared, aiding Big Jim and sending McIntyre over the barricade.
However, as Rhodes went to check on Big Jim in the ring. McIntyre then reentered the ring, delivering a brutal Claymore to Rhodes, ending the show.
Alexa Bliss will battle Nia Jax following their backstage interaction

During the October 24 show, the promotion announced multiple matches for next week’s show. During the show, Carmelo Hayes addressed the situation with The Miz in a backstage segment. He acknowledged that while everyone expected him to berate Miz, he respected him as a future Hall of Famer and a teacher, but couldn’t forgive Miz putting his hands on him.
He believed they were even now and didn’t seek revenge. He is now focused on his destiny on SmackDown. Kit Wilson interrupted, accusing Hayes of poisoning young minds with his hyper-masculine language. Hayes responded and challenged him to a match next week. The two will lock horns on the October 31 show.
In another segment, Cathy Kelley interviewed Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair about Bayley’s challenge. Nia Jax interrupted, calling them cute for pretending to be best friends, and said she was just waiting for one to stab the other in the back. Charlotte responded, saying that was a projection.
Jax replied that she had been in a friendship like that but had learned from the best, glaring pointedly at Bliss. Alexa acknowledged that people change, but if Jax was looking for the old her, she wasn’t hard to find. Jax then challenged her to a match for next week, and Alexa accepted, setting up the clash.
Additionally, as confirmed by the newly crowned United States Champion Ilja Dragunov, the US title Open Challenge will go on, and the Champion will issue another open challenge next week.
