The United States Championship has been a treasure of WWE

The United States Championship is one of the prestigious secondary championships in WWE. The title has a great legacy and carried a long way in the NWA & WCW and made his way into WWE by 2001. The title has witnessed a total of 102 champions and has been the dream title of many. Here we take a look at the top five youngest superstars to hold the United States Championship in WWE history.

5. John Cena

At WrestleMania XX, John Cena challenged Big Show and won the United States Championship for the first time. Cena was 26 years and 10 months old at that time, which makes him one of the youngest WWE Superstars to hold the US title. Cena held the title for 136 days and was stripped of the title for attacking SmackDown General Manager Kurt Angle.

4. Zack Ryder

At the 2011 TLC pay-per-view, Zack Ryder challenged Dolph Ziggler and won the United States Championship. Ryder was 26 years and 7 months old at the time, which makes him the fourth youngest US Champion in WWE history. He held the title for 29 days and lost to Jack Swagger.

3. Rhyno

At the 2001 Unforgiven pay-per-view, Rhyno challenged Tajiri and won the United States Championship for the first time. Rhyno was 25 years and 11 months old at the time, which makes him the youngest US champion at the time and currently the third youngest US champion in history. He held the title for 29 days and lost to Kurt Angle.

2. Carlito

On the October 5, 2004 episode of SmackDown, Carlito challenged John Cena and won the United States Championship for the first time. He was 25 years and 7 months old at the time, making him the second youngest champion in WWE history. Carlito held the title for 42 days and lost the title back to John Cena.

1. Austin Theory

On the April 18, 2022, episode of Raw, Austin Theory challenged Finn Balor and won the WWE United States Championship for the first time. He was 24 years and 8 months old at the time, which makes him the youngest United States Champion in WWE history. Theory held the title for 75 days and lost it to Bobby Lashley.
