Moxley is better known as “Dean Ambrose” to many WWE fans
Jon Moxley is one of the best professional wrestlers in the industry, who has a great reign across almost all major promotions. Moxley is known for his hardcore, lunatic wrestling style, which differentiates him from others. He has been in the pro-wrestling industry since 2004, however, he is widely known for his time in WWE from 2011 to 2019, under the ring name Dean Ambrose.
Jon Moxley is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), however, he makes his appearances on allied promotions, such as NJPW, ROH, CMLL and others. Moxley jumped the ship from WWE to AEW following creative frustrations and achieved monumental success after that. Moxley for the very first time has opened up on his pro-wrestling legacy in a recent interview and clarifies where his legacy fits.
Jon Moxley has unique legacy
Jon Moxley recently appeared for an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, where Moxley described his legacy as a performer and highlighted his uniqueness. Moxley said that he is the one and only Jon Moxley and there is no one to replace him.
Moxley said,
“I’m the only one of me. Forgive me for speaking in the third person, but I’m the only Jon Moxley there is. I don’t see another one walking in any f***ing time soon”
Moxley continued by saying that when everything his career is said and done, people will notice him everywhere. He said that people won’t know where to classify him in history, however he can’t be ignored in any of them and will be given the space.
Moxley continued,
“When it’s all said and done, and I’ve been eaten by a cougar or something and people look back on everything, I like the idea that you won’t know where to classify me in history. You don’t know where to put me on your lists or your rankings or whatever the f**k. You have no idea where to classify me, but you can’t ignore me, so you’re going to have to give me my own space. I like that.”
Moxley has been a world champion, wherever he steps his foot in and has a great legacy with a number of promotions. Talking about World Championships, he is a one-time WWE Champion, three-time AEW World Champion, one-time IWGP Champion, two-time CZW World Heavyweight Champion, one-time GCW World Champion, three-time HWA Heavyweight Champion and more. He is the first wrestler to hold the World Championship in WWE, AEW & NJPW.
