This is the last chance for archers to qualify for the World Cup Finals in Mexico.

The Archery World Cup 2024 Stage 3 will take place in Antalya, Turkey. The tournament will commence on June 18 and end on 23. This will be the third and final stage and athletes will have the last opportunity to qualify for the World Cup finals which will take place later this year in Mexico.

This World Cup will also serve as the last Olympic qualification tournament. The last two spots in the recurve men’s and women’s teams will be allocated based on the World ranking after this tournament. Both the Indian men’s and women’s teams failed to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024 at the Final World Olympic qualifier. However, both the teams have almost secured Olympic quotas via the world rankings route.

Indian men’s team are currently ranked World No. #2 in the world and are in the pole spot of the securing the ranking quota as Korea who are WR #1 has already qualified for the Olympics. The Indian women’s team on the other hand are ranked WR #8 in the world but seven teams above them already have the quota.

By virtue of being the highest-ranked team without a quota, the Indian men’s team are assured of the quota place. The women’s team, on the other hand, are also sure of a quota provided both Indonesia and Columbia don’t reach the finals.

As things stand, Jyothi Surekha Vennam has already qualified for the World Cup Finals at Mexico by winning gold in compound women’s individual in Stage 1 of the Archery World Cup. Deepika Kumari, Priyansh and Prathamesh Balachandra Fuge will qualify via the rankings route. Tarundeep Rai has an outside chance to qualify for the finals. He needs to reach deep in order to qualify for the finals.
